lol would you make up your mind what you're gonna get?
I'm just kidding mav ;)

the o3m is a pretty nice cocker clone. fully cocker compatible, and if you can find one at a good price, yeah I'd say go for it.

I found three of um on ebay. http://sporting-goods.search.ebay.com/03m_Paintball_W0QQcatrefZC12QQfromZR40QQfsooZ1QQfs opZ1QQsacatZ16045QQsojsZ1

I did a read over on the sellers feedback. seems like almost all of his neutrals and negs were either over a mistake on the buyers part, or shipping issues.

he's got some nice ones tho. two blue/black fades, and a red/black fade

found another seller on ebay with them at about the same price. but he's got very little feedback, and his shipping prices are OUTRAGEOUS http://stores.ebay.com/Rex-Paintball

I have one and I can't say much for it's performance because it has had timing issues since I had it

but it looks good real good (I have a titanium one, check out pics in sig) and comes with some great features like a clamping feedneck and delrin bolt etc.

i dont know darke its hard to deside. But i like this thing. What prblems did you have rascal?

Jenkins
08-31-2005, 12:00 PM
Considering the price, I'd say its worth it. Pretty cheap if you ask me.

And Mav...your sig was like "whoa" when I opened the page lol.

MaverickSniper
08-31-2005, 01:42 PM
Would the 02 be better?

DarkeWolf
08-31-2005, 03:56 PM
here's the thread where he and loon were trying to work out what was wrong with rascal's. http://www.pbreview.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=327429
there was a part that was missing from it, or something like that. (Rascal got his used tho).

lol yeah, that sig is something else.

yeah, I guess it could be pretty hard to decide, with so many choices available ;)

pbrascal37
09-01-2005, 09:27 AM
I am having some timing issues as I have never owned a cocker/focker before I was also missing a set screw where the three way connects to the trigger rod

I would have to say it is a good gun for the money because a tech should be able to fix it if you can't (if you have problems that is) but the tech where I go is annoying and just bugs me everytime I try to ask him a questoin or tell him whats wrong with it

yes the 02 is a much faster gun and probly better for tourney style play and have better resale because mech cockers and fockers have no resale anymore if you were to ever get tired of it

MaverickSniper
09-01-2005, 01:26 PM
yeah my eyes are ponting back to the 02.I cant use hpa and it looks like it can handle co2. -------------------- whats wrong with the sig?

Jenkins
09-01-2005, 05:20 PM
O2's are great if you cant afford HPA. And nothing is wrong with the sig, just you posted twice in a row before so when I opened up the page it was like "OMG BOLD X's EVERYWHERE AHHHH EPILEPSY" not quite that bad but....it was like "whoa"

DarkeWolf
09-01-2005, 05:35 PM
yeah, good point Jenkins. I hadnt thought about that in the pm Mav. the 02 will be a lot more tolerant of co2 than the 03m would be.

lol I think that mav is secretly a government agent, and all those X's in his sig are the code to activate all the brainwashed "sleepers".

pbrascal37
09-01-2005, 05:54 PM
hehe

yeah I would get the o2 if I were you, even though the o3m is a nice marker a blow-forward style electronic marker just blows a mech cocker out of the water.

MaverickSniper
09-02-2005, 06:14 AM
oh yeah im a government agent   you found out my secret:pissed: .lol still haven't figured out how to "Activate the code" well im either on the O2 AR-1 or the bko.Man paintball sucks when your trying to figure out what marker to get.........For the O2 How much does it weigh? How much faster do you guys thiink this can go than a spyder.I think i narrowed it down to the AR-1 or O2.

pbrascal37
09-02-2005, 09:22 AM
mechanically it is at least 10 bps fasterthan a spyder, electronically it is about 7 bps faster

the weight doesn't really matter because with hopper full of paint a a tank on it a few ounces won't make a diff. at all.

MaverickSniper
09-02-2005, 09:57 AM
Soo would you guys sugest it over the AR-1 and bko?

Jenkins
09-02-2005, 11:04 AM
I dunno about the BKO....they're pretty nice. The best thing to do is to go to a field and try them out and form your own opinions about the markers instead of buying it based on our opinions. That way you'll end up with the marker you yourself like the best.

MaverickSniper
09-02-2005, 12:10 PM
The thing is my local feild/Store only has like 8 markers in stock...... (http://www.actioncenterpaintball.com/store/detail.aspx?ID=139) can it compete with the wrath ? 250 isint bad.I dont want an ion.

DarkeWolf
09-02-2005, 06:22 PM
I havent even got any clue what the AR-1 is, so I have no opinion there, whatsoever.
And I havent ever shot a bko, but I know that they are a very highly recommended marker.

as far as comparison to a wrath, I think that I would take an 02 over it any day. they are about the same for weight, and they both have the same electronic cap. but there are a lot of dragun related upgrades that can go into an 02, where the wrath is rather limited for marker-specific upgrades right now. there's also a lot more choices of which bolts can go into it, since we know that that the 02 can take 2k2 intimidator style and The One bolts.
Granted, I havent ever tried to walk an 02. But I know that most of the dragun triggers can go into one, and I know the switch is placed in the NORMAL position on one.
whereas with the wrath, its is REALLY hard to walk one decently because of both the trigger that it's got in it, with only one choice currently of a different trigger to get. and since the switch in them sits so uncommonly high, I dont know if you could put a regular, non-lever switch in one of them, without having to flip the switch over so the button is upside down. and even then, I don't know 100% if that would even work.

Edit- lol and about those codes. I am sure that somebody, somewhere, is reading all those X's and there's a voice in their head now telling them to go take a leak on the salad bar at pizza hut

MaverickSniper
09-03-2005, 07:18 AM
lol yeah darke yeah..............I want the O2 unless shotpaint can give me a really good reason why to get a BKO. EDIT:The AR-1 is the same thing as a Wrath but it does not have LCD.And maybe a couple other things.oh and are you sure thats not you that wants to take a leak on the salad bar at pizza hut?.........I know theres some company that makes triggers for odysses ........Ah here -> trigga (http://www.zenitram-mfg.com/) you got to products odyssey and the triggers.

DarkeWolf
09-03-2005, 05:33 PM
lol nah, it was a line that I'd heard a comedian give off on stage once. he was talking about why people always hear voices that tell them to do really evil things and such. and then he was like "So why does nobody hear voices telling them to take a leak on the saladbar at wendy's? :eyes: "

so I just paraphrased it a lil bit to suit the situation.

Ohhhh yeah, that's right. I was thinking the ar-1 was a milsim....makes me think of an ar-15, the name does.

yup yup from everything that I've heard, those zenitram triggers are really good :)

is telling me to get a mag, now jesus how am I gonna decide wichy gun want when everyone is saying this is better, no get this, dode your noids gonna blow up over 10 bps on Co2.Know i shot a mag befor,It wasent really impressive but it was pretty impresive.)if you get that)

DarkeWolf
09-04-2005, 07:26 AM
well.....here's how I look at it.
Everybody has got an opinion of which gun is better, and what marker they like most.

here's what I would do if it was me. take a look at the factors that you are looking for in a marker, and how you intend to play with it.
stuff I look for are Looks, Price, BPS Cap, quality, upgradability, and reliability.

all in all, its gonna be Your marker. You know what your pricerange is gonna be. You know what you are looking for from it.
what's right for one or all of us, may not be what's right for you. Like, for me...my TES is great, and I dont really want anything like an electropneumatic. Other people would seriously not prefer a blowback. thats gonna affect their recommendations.

start putting together a list of things that you are looking for from the gun, and what you wanna use it for.

If you like mech guns, then you can pretty well chose any of them. Some guns like the Retromags wont run on co2, and autocockers have problems with their 3ways freezing up, but if you run ANTI siphon and a good regulator you can almost totaly remove these problems.

You can pretty well chose any EP marker to run co2 thru, just as long as you have your set up correct.
While most guns will run co2 ok, some will do it better, notably the Spool valve ultra LP markers.

Well im on a quest to make a spydamag.Im gonna get pro classic automag and put a rocking trigger frame and level 10 bolt and uke body. Its gona rock.

wulf1010
09-04-2005, 02:13 PM
There are electronics and mechanics to convert a spyder frame to fit a mag? I didnt know that.

As far as i knew the only electronic frames for the mags were, Hyperframes, Booyahs, and Emag lowers.

MaverickSniper
09-04-2005, 02:20 PM
yep yep with some modding to the sear you can do it. oh yes fun.

Soo i can 100 percent be able to run a O2 with Co2?And no have it siphoned?Im realy not going to be shooting high speeds all the time soo i think im ok.Also Can i See how fast im shooting with out air on it?Cause that would be like totaly sweet.

Jenkins
09-08-2005, 12:16 PM
You can, but an anti-siphon tube doesn't cost alot. I think they are like 10 bucks and you can install them yourself with some loc-tite and the right tools. I would really recomend it....liquid co2 in your gun is bad, but you can get away with it. The O2 will handle Co2 fine though....have you seen the video of the O2 on Co2? It's on Odyssey's site there is a link in my sig if your too lazy to look.

MaverickSniper
09-08-2005, 12:23 PM

I'm kinda the same way. I dont have anything against tippmans but they just arent to my personal tastes, for owning one.
still, if you like them, then go for it :)
I think I'd go more for the 02 tho, if twas me.

Jenkins

Yea, O2 over a tippy anyday...my experiences with one were not good. And the O2 has a lot of things over the tippy like being electro pneumatic. And many other things.
