Personally, I think the gun looks dead sexy. In fact, right now it's the only thing I'd use over my intimidator (though I don't think I'll ever cough up that kind of money). Still, I too hate the gripframe, but look how much better it would look with a little attention from a dremel

the more I look at them the more I think. "those look SWEEEEET!!!" so I might just wait till the price goes down and get one instead of a viking/timmy/gen-x3. I still hate the trigger frame. I would just get it milled off and then anodize it. maybe WDP will see all the people hating it and change it, although they will probably not give them out stock, they would make you buy it for like 100 bux.

ya whats with the BE grip frame?! that is sweet looking though, but that guard around the grip is a huge turn off of the gun for me, it looks uncomfortable . . . still sweet though . . .

they look pretty much the same with a different grip frame . . .

i wouldn't buy one, but yeah twitch they do look a lot better with out the bottom part of the trigger guard there.

Ok, besides it's ugly, destroys the classic lines of the angels of yesteryear, I do have to say one thing in it's defense, the back of the grip looks pretty da** comfy. That part I could live with, but the rest??? Glad I just bought my Angel fly instead.

ahhh christ what were the people at WDP THINKING?!?! This thing is the ugliest thing angel i have ever seen! They took such a tight looking gun and made it have some brass eagle grip on it.... ok its not THAT ugly but its not as good looking as it should be

Ok ive shot one of those angels - prototype actually but the grips the same - trust me once you get a hold of those grips they arnt just summin they made that looked curvy and nice , its been ergonomically designed for hands, gripping, and stability. There fore increasing your ROF and accuracy (which the angels arnt exactly renowned for).

Its a very comfy grip, who cares what stuff looks like if it works (sorry My mag side comming though :D) - personally i think its look great.

Yea.......i can understand that the handle would feel more comfortable but i mean comon thats SOOO ugly! You could make the gun more comfortable by strapping a lazy boy chair to it but you dont see me doing that do ya?

Im sure they've tried to make it as good looking as possible so if you dont want to reap the benefits of shooting quicker and more accurately (and possibly gettting sore wrist's ..... from shooting for those with dirty minds)

Then dont buy it. You could sugggest that they bring out another model with an old style grip with the updated body and internals.

Tru, but I'm not sold on the rest of the styling. I mean all things considered, I can shoot 11-12 a second, no problems. Everything but the extra lower trigger guard is cool with me, hell the back of the grip looks hella nice. Anyone held an I-Frame for an impy? Same deal, hella comfy, hell for that matter even a Hand Gun, as bad as it is, as the same grip curvature.

Drill press milling though?

hmmmm, is growing on me. Still like my Fly, plus my GF would KILL ME IF I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE!..... unless....it's for her?

I like the milling on the non C&C better. if I had that much money to drop on a paintball gun then I would get this or an excal. I might try to pick up a used LCD if the price is right when this comes out.

Well some of them dont look that bad. The blue and silve ones on top look ok with the big holes drilled into the side, but i still prefer the old cut and carved models. I wonder if WDP has ever considered making custom angels like the people at the free flow autococker site ( http://www.professionalpaintball.com/ ) . You can pick your style of milling, trigger, color, basically everything. That would probably end up being more expensive though.....well its a thought. If they just didnt have the little holes all over the gun...can you imagine trying to clean dirt out of those,....with a tooth pick and cu-tip?!? It would drive me insane

i think the whole new grip frame design is made for someone to shoot easier as a fronter. kind of hard to explain, but when u have ur gun real close to ur body its hard to shoot, so i think by curving the bottom part of the grip frame and making the trigger like it is, is meant for shooting easier when the gun is tucked in. im also guess the ugly *** guard has to do with that, or something...

I have an Imp mod, IFRAME, that has a grip very similar to the Ir3's, although its not as ugly. The curved back, is a great feel and puts less strain on the arm. But, I agree, that gun is ugly as sin.

I thought they were totally repulsive when i saw the IR3, but now.... heck call me weird if you want, but I like it. It has a "different" look to it, it's very... unique

I dont think the price of LCD's will drop that much, 1st hand, shops and WDP will lower the prices a bit because they want to promote the IR3. Though the 2nd hand angel prices as ive seen are coming right down, they all want to get rid of their angels as fast as possible before they loose too much value.

I like it better than the lcd. Personally i have always found angels to be serious "not even with a bag on her head" fugly. So i don't think they could have made it look worse. The redesigned grip should be very comfy. I don't care for the BEish gaurd. I will still never buy an angel but i have to say i like it better than the lcd or fly.

wait until the dark ir3 comes out on 2-20-02. it should be preety good looking. WDP should change the milling on the ir3 for the next model year like they do on the LCD's.
