View Full Version : Lasoya has Officially left Infamous

spyder_king06

Taken directly from PBN. This is what Brandon Lambertson (of Infamous obviously) had to say about it.

"Im guessing that Raoul knows Tristan Brown. Could be wrong.

But yes, Chris has left the team. He said he was quiting paintball, not just the team. He told us he was going to take this time to work on starting up his business. We wish him the best.

So to all the so called fans that will lose hope in this team. Im sure we will see you next event wearing the jersey of whatever the hot team is for that moment.........and to all the true fans......We arent going anywhere and we appreciate your TRUE support. Have faith, it is a sport after all and teams always have ups and downs....I could have sworn it was just last year we were winning everything and the XSV and DYNASTY werent. We lost alot of core players and that will effect ANY team.....but not for long. We will be back stronger and better. Keep believing in us. It will pay off."

Whaaaaaaaaaaat?!

Wow...And I almost bought a shirt with "lasoya" on the front yesterday, seriously.

Why is everyone quitting (Rcx, tyger, etc)

I was seriously just about to post this, King...haha.

Saw this like 15 minutes ago, and at first seemed like a bunch of stupid rumors until I saw Brandon's post.

Not like I didn't see it coming. Infamous has been slowly going downhill for a while. I like the team, and I hope they can pick up some new talent and are back to doing well again.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't predict this 2 weekends ago at the field, even though everyone said that as long as Infamous was NPS's team, Chris would be playing.

I didn't think he would quit altogether, though. That's so sad to hear.

Anyway, Infamous might as well give up. The loss of Jon Richardson brought this all crashing down on them. He's such a killer, and now XSV is doing great. Then of course the loss of Rusty Glaze, and the suspension of Frank the Tank, not to mention their disappointing results in events this year.

Tyger and RCX arent celebirties.

Yeah..Infamous has been on the road to failure for quite a while now. Sounds like Lasoya's going to start up his own business, more power to him.

He was a very talented player, sure, but I can't say that this was unpredictable. Every magaizne I read, every website I visited had an interview with him complaining about the state that paintball is currently in. "Whaaa ramping...whaaa over payed players...whaaa unsportsmanlike conduct." He really didn't like where the Pro Paintball was headed.

That's not what Crede was saying, although cheating is something we shouldn't be proud of (although players aren't over payed), it's a part of every sport. Whining about it does nothing, you can either suck up or quit. Lasoya chose to quit.

I'm getting tired of defending members after you put words in their mouths.

Maybe Bob Long knew about this beforehand. Maybe that's why he's releasing the Infamous Timmy instead of the Lasoya Timmy. And no I'm not saying those things are good aspects, but as stated in the thread "The State of Paintball From Someone Who Actually Plays," you can either ride it out or give out.

http://www.pbreview.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=330681

He left to help me move to cali, and has a expo he needs to do and then work set up later this month at the NPPL, after that hes done with the paintball scene, hes trying to off his share and such. He hasn't talked much about it and is trying to keep away from paintball. Something happened the time from the break-in to the time he left that caused him to just want to leave the sport, not sure what it was yet.

As for this....not going to say if its true or not, no sense in fueling it till the truth is revealed. Anyhow I had Evan call in to get to the bottom of this and eventually [shortly] all will be revealed.

Ah well...gotta get the equipment set up for the [sorta] live broadcast at San Diego from the E-Money booth.

Lasoya was past his prime anyway, still a great player none the less, definitly going to hurt Infamous with their captain leaving the team.

I'm still an Infamous fan though, have been since day one and no bandwagon hopping for me.

First of all, I dont think the fact that Lasoya left is going to affect Infamous the much. I mean, they havent exactly been doing to well this year. From what I had heard earlier I dont think the guys on Infamous were really getting along with Lasoya in the first place.

Infamous has also picked up a bunch of younger players, such as Drew Hire, and Fatty. Those guys are young and can flat out play ball. With all these guys I still think they will be playing well. Ak and Gator will hold that team together

STO Balla 22

I wouldn't doubt it if Gator left to play for XSV or Legacy.

Here is something else I overheard when some of the guys were in Toronto playing at OPPL.

These are the exact words that came out of Davey Williamson's (of XSV) mouth as he was talking to SK (of Dynasty).

Davey: "I heard Chris left eh?"
SK: "Oh yea?"
Davey: "Yea, I think he wants to play for Bob"

Now, Im not trying to start any rumors but thats what was said. Now I assumed that he was talking about Chris Lasoya going to play for the Assassins. I may be completely wrong though. Who knows.....

well it might be for the ramping and crap but people are alwayz gunna use it and the psps has given up on the ramping and started the15 bps bullshizz..overal im dissapointed in lasoya this is my theory and some thing i should tell him . If u just complain and whine your gunna be left behind theres alot more players out there. and lasoya could atleast show people the bps isnt all of winning it communication its technique its startegy it a pyshical players and close to the least important the gun. sad ta hea but its one less person to go against and lasoya will regret it when he heres infamous won world championsship and hes gunna want to be back on the team and with a few extra hours put in i doubt infamous couldnt win . Go INFAMOUS!( aftershock is number 1)

This is all I will say for now.

Money [evan] is setting up an interview with chris to settle these rumors and reveal what [and why] things may or may not as the rumor states.

Is it a rumor or is it true....

Are parts of it true....or is the whole thing a big fat lie...

Or is it all true...

Were waiting on a callback from chris, but its looking like these will be answered on the E-Money radio show.

Keep dreaming, XSV is the future.

I predict that either Dynasty and XSV will both be on top, or XSV will edge out Dynasty for the favorite.

I don't think there will ever be another Dynasty once/if they fade out. Just like the 90's Bulls, it's rare for a sports team to be as good as they were and still are.

I doubt that. They wanted Colt Roberts, who hasn't been playing for nearly as long as Lasoya, and isn't as good (yes I've played against him), and he ended up turning them down because he didn't want to move.

Also, you know Dynasty would get a lot more publicity and would have a lot more fans if Lasoya joined the team. Even if he didn't really play, it would be a smart move on the business side.

Perhaps he would be the team mascot. He could steal one of those huge paper mache dragons they use down in Chinatown during Chinese New Year's. Then Chris and a few small children would run around with it before each one of Dynasty's games.

Just a thought.:P

What are you talking about? Lets paintball down? What the hell does that mean. I dont even like Lasoya, but what you are saying is retarded. How is he letting down paintball? So you think that if he doesnt want to play paintball anymore, he should just to make you happy? Well I have news for you, if he doesn't want to play, he isn't going to play. He isn't letting paintball down in any way, shape or form.

When/if he does indeed stop playing paintball at the Pro level, he will always be remembered as a legend, and one of the best ballers of all time.

The porn joke was just stupid.....flat out stupid. Like GranDream said, Lasoya doesn't post here so he will never see that comment. If you want him to see it try going over to PBN and posting it in Infamous forum.

Don't give him ideas...

The question is no longer "Where is Lasoya headed," or even "Where is paintball headed?" for that matter. The question is "Now that there are these open slots from big name players like Lasoya and more local names like RCX leaving, who will fill the gaps?" I, personally view this as an opportunity for paintball to grow. New talent is out there.
