Is there a way to tell threads on a barrel with out screwing it into a gun. Someone sold me an ultralite off here and said it was spyder threads and got it and wham! it wasn't not even close. Alsohe didn't take it back and I lost contact of him, so anyways, is there a way to tell. My proshop couldn't figure it out. They only had a few guns there to try. Mainly tipp and spyder.

post a picture and hope someone else can figure it out. That's the only thng I could possibly think to do. Does your proshop sell/sample thread adapters you could try out?

Somebody PLEASE correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe that threading on barrels is the same as regular threading. meaning, that there is a standardized measurement on them. check around with hardware stores on finding a thread sizer. (basically measures the grooves and lands)
