Personal preference. Some may say timmy>angel, and others may say angel>timmy. All comes down to whose hands the gun is in and what they prefer.

The answers will be biased. I would say Timmy > Angel. Although some may say I am opinionated because I own a Timmy, that is the very reason I own a Timmy over an Angel.
I have several reasons why I don't like Angels.
1) I can't stand 90* Frames, 45ed Angels are much better
2) I'm assuming you're looking at 05 Speeds and G7's. I talked to an Angel owner on PBN about this, and even though he loves Angels, he agreed that 05 Speeds either shoot great or terrible. There's a kid at my field that used to have an 05 Speed that shot great, and the kid has no idea how to take care of guns. Another kid had one, and even though he can fix pretty much any gun, it didn't shoot nearly as well as the other kid's.
3) I just love Timmies. They're easy to maintain and fix if you have problems, they're undeniably fast, they shoot very well and very smooth when properly set up, they're very efficient, they feel great in my hands (as most will agree), they look great, BLAST's Customer Service is known for being good, and of course, the Intimidator Forum here is excellent.

Shoot both and decide for yourself.

I have owned both. Both of them are extremely well made guns that will last a very long time due to quality manufacturing. They are two very different designs and have completely different feels to them.
Either type will shoot extremely fast right out of the box. Both have aftermarket products that will enable you to customize them. There are a lot more of these type items made for the Timmys. however, neither one needs these. The largest impact will be from new programming or boards to encompass the new firing options permitted in the various competitive leagues.
It will boil down to personal preference. At this price range, you really need to compare the feel of each one as performance capabilities of either exceeds our abilities.

Timmys all shoot the same, or close enough. I have both a 2k2 style and and Alias and they are extremely close in performance. the difference is neglible. The major difference between the different models is milling of the body.

Depends on the angel and the Timmy.
I am not biased at all, I have shot both Angels and Timmys and I would have to say its a close call. I honestly think that a G7 > Timmys, however I really didnt like the 05 Speed that I shot.

I built my own timmy angel hybrid. Its got the closed bolt accuracy of the angel and the fast trigger of the timmy.

Angels aren't closed bolt and even if it was that wouldn't make it more accurate then any other gun.

R u kidding? closed bolt is so much more accurate than open, its cuz its made like a pump. And angels are so closed bolt, you cant see the bolt like you do on timmys and borgs.

I have a feeling you know better so I'm not even gonna try explaining why you are wrong.

You don't know Jeezer.
cookie123 - I would definitely not go with an 05 Speed. Although 45 Framed Speeds feel good in my hands, even many Angel owners agree, some seem to shoot very well, while some seem to shoot poorly. I can't explain it, but I've shot many 05 Speeds (at least 5), and there has been no correlation with how well the owners takes care of them and how well they shot, which should not be the case.

Anyway, I say Timmy. I didn't how like the 90 Frame A4 Fly felt in my hand. Just didn't feel good.

When you can get the 'Timmy to work, I'd take that. I've seen God knows how many 'Timmy's break down. Just me, don't take offense.

well it seems like everyone has gripes about both of the guns. Maybe im looking into the wrong companys.
should I be looking more into smart parts wgp(karni) and proto?
A-5best
09-06-2005, 05:46 PM
No the only i would get would be a proto, or timmy. But anyway timmys are extremely reliable. There is only one reason why timmys don't shoot good and that is the users fault. While according to some angels have personalities and some shoot good and some don't.
Oh and BTW 4th degree had a timmys and an angel, and he ditched the angel:dodgy:

Try shooting some other guns too, but I'd take the timmy over the angel.

what about shockers? how do those compare to timmys?
Downfall08
09-06-2005, 06:23 PM
they're very small and new they will be cheaper than both. The small trigger guard in the shocker is a big gripe of mine but i've adjusted. We can't tell you what you'll like so just try them yourself.

i'd take the angel. i don't like timmys for prefrence reasons. angels seem like much more robust markers to me. timmys are tough, don't get me wrong, but i do see them in the shop now and then. angels take punishment very well. about 10 min ago i just shot my LPR out of my marker when i aired it up without the volumiser on. i picked up the peices, rebuilt it and it works well. the thing hasen't been lubed in around 3 years and it is only now starting to develop FSDO. if that's not tough then i don't know what is.
