I am soon to get a Shocker and was wondering, are Shocker batteries recharageable? If not, is the 9 volt adapter easy to install, or do you have to have an airsmith do it for you?

Shocker batteries are not rechargeble and are very expensive.

a nine volt battery adaptor is very easy to install. just plug the new adaptor in where the original once was. they are only $15 at www.actionvillage.com

o ya that reminds me-My friend said that of you get a 9v adapter you need to use only used 9v bateries because the shocker battery is 7.5v. Can you use new 9v's too?

Smartest thing to do is use the old 9v batteries that won't work in your Revvy anymore...

I put a used one in my Shocker last year (appr. september) and it's still rock 'n roll...

I've also bought a rechargable 9v battery. What you have to make sure is to buy a NiMH-battery, and NOT the NiCd (NickelCadmium). Because the NiMH holds appr. 8.4 volts, and the NiCd's can hold up to 9.6 volts, and THAT is not good, since the original batteries only hold 7.2 volts...

The shocker batteries are not rechargeable but they last a very long time like 100,000 shots. If you use the 9volt conversion wear the 9 volts down in your hopper a bit first before you use them so you dont fry your board because it can only take like 7.5V or something like that.
