J&J has a new barrel... the J&J Edge (available at www.copaintball.com for $149). Just picked mine up... though I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. It has 3 backs... a .688, .691 & .693 and choice of length and color for the ported front. I liked the idea of being able to match paint and bore without using inserts which could be bent, get stuck or were coated and might flake. I've not yet seen a single review of this barrel but relied on the fact that J&J typically makes a fine barrel. If it shoots as well as it looks, I'll be one extremely happy camper! And if you've never had to opportunity to purchase from C.O. Paintball, you've yet to discover the "class act" in online suppliers!

I have a 14" J&J Performance and it is amazing! I payed 209 bucks (Canadian) for it at a local store but I am not complaining because it is the most accurate barrel I have ever seen in action!

JimInVA, do you know if the new backs are compatable with the old 2 piece fronts. I already have 12,14,16" fronts for my J&J . And since my original back is .689 I wonder if I can buy the other two sizes?

I don't know if they are interchangeable. But I bet if you called C.O. Paintball (you can get their toll free # from the website) that they could find out. It seems that J&J is also located near them in Ohio. Perhaps that's why C.O. seems to be the first out with the J&J Edge.
