i have about 200 bucks and i was wondering whether to get a used tippmann a-5 for 179.99 or a spyder pilot acs 05 for 159.99. which one would be a better choice?

Well, everyone is going to say Tippmann in this forum. Spyders are decent, but the Pilot is overpriced compared to an Imagine.
Since versus threads are not allowed here, I suggest you run a search to find out the answer.

Out of those two.... Id have to say a used Ion off of ebay. There really good and Better than a Low end Mech or a Low end Electro.

Well, yes, but I'm not going to bite your head off.;)
Rules are rules though to some people.:|
If I had to choose between the two, I'd easily take the A-5. One Spyder was too much for me. As you maybe can tell, I didn't like it.

Yea since you're in the Tippy forum, don't you think most people will say A5?
But anyways, I say A5. It'll last you for your paintball career and can be upgraded to a level where it can compete with mid-level markers.

The rt is a response trigger. it makes your rate of fire increase. The ones for a 98c take it from 5bps to 15bps. I don't know what the specs for an a-5 are, though.
As for the gun question: A-5 because not only are they reliable, but the cyclone force feed that comes standard is the same concept that is in a HaloB hopper ($100 upgrade). And as an added bonus it runs off of air so you don't have to worry about batteries going dead. And you should never chop a ball.

Are you sure it wasn't a refurbed a-5? I think it was. I'm not sure if that counts as used but oh well...
The a-5 would be great for a gun you plan on keeping as a woods backup or scenario gun. Strap an egrip on(I have one for 75 shipped:D ) and it wouldn't be a bad backup speedball gun. It'll last FOREVER as well.:)

ya it was a refurb but i checked again and theyre all out.:(
but i think im gonna look at some ebay stuff. and with the response trigger does that make it faster just because its double finger?

I'll have to disagree with you here, a stock A-5 can be shot really fast. The E-Grip will of course yield higher rates of fire on turbo (If it's what I'm thinking of that is) but the Response just makes it easier to hit high rates of fire. A friend of mine has an A-5 with an Evil Pipe, 32 degrees X-Chamber and a 5" drop. He recently took off his response because most places around here are starting to make people turn off their responses, and he was getting accused of using his response by other players when he was actually just hammering the stock trigger really fast with his middle finger.
Just yesterday I played against him and I think he's shooting his A-5 faster stock then it fired when he had the response on it.
Back on track though. . .
I say get an A-5 because when you buy an A-5 it comes with a solid hopper which will handle the higher rates of fire. And I would suggest saving up a little for a decent barrel next and then either a X-chamber or a reg (if you intend to change your gas source at some point.) And a drop wouldn't hurt at some point either.

well like everybodys sayin, im going with the a-5 because it comes with a hopper built in and i dont have the money to buy a good hopper anyways. im looking at the a-5's on ebay right now and im looking for one with a flatline barrel.
