Urgent Advice

I need your adivice, my brother and my cousins want to play outlaw paintball for my brothers birtday, but we have never even chronoed our markers. I've already decided to not play, but I need your advice on how to convince THEM to not play. I don't want to be known as the second person that has been killed by a paintball, and I don't want any of them to be either. And my brother refuses to pitch in money for a chronograph.

Well, you could either:

A) Take their guns when their not looking
B) Buy them a chrono

Well first off what does their little arsenal consist of, and where do you live may i ask? Second, the VL chrono has actually been proven to work *gasp*. It's only $50 and could actually be rather useful as it is very easy to take with you.

If you are in say, New England and you are using say, Tippmans or Piranhas. These guns running Co2 will probably shot very hot considering the weather and all.

Now if you're further south and using Stingrays... different story. A Stingray is lucky to hit 300 fps on a good day.

Still you should Chrono, but most importantly make sure everyone has good masks! I back up your decision to sit this game out!

Heres an idea! Get your cousins to pitch in some dough and get your brother a... TA DA! Birthday Chrono! Of course if the little ******* isn't worth the $50 than just laugh at him when he gets a nice 367 fps shot in the butt!

I forgot to mention our outing will include some friends. In total, our aresenal will include my F4 (if they can convince me to play), my brothers Shutter (which he has already played with the velocity on), my two cousins Genises Surge's (which I don't trust, and that's not because they're BE, it's because they bought 'em from Sports Authority), their friends stingray (which I'm not worried about), and my brothers two friends who will have Talons (also not worried about them). We are in NJ, near Sandy Hook. And there is very little chance that my cousins will chip in any money, because their "method" of chronoing is standing 300 feet away with a stop watch.

im sure if you take them to a local field they will let you chronograph your markers, doesnt hurt to try . . . thats what i would do, or i like the borthday chronograph idea too, maybe your parents will chip in (it is a safety thing) i bet they'll go for it.

The chrono at the field idea won't work all that well, cause the nearest field is 2 hours away. And I was thinking about asking my parents for some money for a chrono, but I know I'll have to work for it, and FAST, cause my brothers bithday is in 1 1/2 weeks. If I do convince my parents, I think I'm going to get a PB Shooting Chrony. What do you think? Is it reliable, has anyone used it?

Just wonderful, my mom won't front me any money. I need your advice, should I buy the Shooting Chrony, or the RadarCHRON. Both cost the same, and either way I have to work for the money. I tried to convince her, how it's unsafe, how someone could get hurt, how I NEED it, but she wouldn't have it.

me and my friends havent chronoed our guns in over a year we are probly all shooting hot. we try to keep them down though. all we play is outlaw just make sure you wear your mask and poof no problem. but me and my friends are all *******es anyways so... ya know

Hey man, me and the majority of my team are located in Ephrata, PA. Maybe I can convince them to make a road trip out to NJ, and we could play together. We would need directions, and can bring our Chrono, and Nitro and CO2 fill Stations. When are you guys getting together? Even if we cant come out to play, perhaps just Ken and I could meet you out there before the game, the NPS warehouses are out that way anyway and we've always talked about touring them, you could even borrow the Chrony. Let me know if there is anything we can do for you:D

well u could still play dude just dont screw the adjuster in all the way like a phscopath keep it back youl be fine u wont die by geting shot by a ball at 300 fps unless by some extremly lucky chance and your stupidity they shoot u down the throat the worst that will prolie happen is a welt like usawell iv been shot at 230fps ad had it brak the skin from 20 yards away youl be fine
