Ok I am looking into getting my first marker and have decided on either the A5 of the 98c/cp. I personally do enjoy to snip but well do just about any job when it comes down to it. So need a good all around gun while leaning to the more accurate side. I know the a5 is a faster firing gun over the 98 but if I get the 98, I could also pick up a barrel and stock at the same time. So any recommendations on what would be best gun for me. Also any extra moods that would be good for a new gun for a bi of extra accuracy.

I have a 98 custom but my friend has an A-5 and its a beast. I mean the 98 custom has a lot of ups u can get but the A-5 has no recoil(kick back)and it is quieter. Also the A5 has a better flatline than the 98.

Get the A-5 u can get a stock and a barrel for that also, and u can stil have good firepower when needed.

I'm not sure what you're talking about paintballa665, the a5 is a blowback marker just like the 98c. Both will have comparable kick.

I suggest you grab an a5 as well. That is unless you're going to mod it all to hell anyhow. The 98c is more easily modded out of the box, but the a5 is a higher end marker. The difference being, if you mod the carp out of a 98c and an a5 you'll end up with verry comparable markers. So really it comes down to what you want: A higher quality out-of the box marker or slightly more $ to mod with and a bit more moddability.

well, i'd say get a 98c and a Armson Stealth barrel, just got one, my favorite barrel ive ever had. More accurate than the 98 flatline. But thats just me.

Edit---- add a D.O.P. pro seal to that too

Get an A5. Then a egrip, jcs tigger, and a flatline.:)

EBay is the cheapest.

I think the A-5 wins out just because of the available JCS with the E-grip.

The Custom Pro isn't a bad choice too, and it would be suitable. I just have a certain liking for an A-5 however.

Well i have been leaning towards the custom pro as it already got the double trigger and such. But did nto think there was much diff between the custom pro and the a5 besides the loading system. Besides that what are the big diff's. Also note I do plan on a few mods, but not going mod crazey. Problay a barrel and a stock to start with then go form there.

The cyclone and easier field stripping is all that the A5 really has going for it unless you are considering buying a flatline. The flatline is much easier to install and on the A5. Other then that I would say the A5 and the 98 are pretty much equal. One difference is that with the stock 98 feedneck you are limited to 13 bps and with the A5 it is like 16.7 bps. This isn't an issue unless you put an Rt or E trigger on the 98, and if you do, there are several ways to get the 98 to perform as well as, if not better then the A5.

I'm new at paintballing but I would have to say get the A-5 cause i got a 98c. I eventually ended up upgrading it and concluded that I made a mistake by getting a 98c. Youll end up upgrading your hopper if you get a 98c and youll most likely end up choosing the cyclone feed over an electronic one because of price and not having to worry about constantly buying batteries and getting it wet. My friend has an A-5 and his flatline is a lot better than mines. Since my flatline sucked I ended up buying an apex barrel to get rid of the left and right curves. So if you do get a 98c I would suggest you get the apex barrel. It is a lot more accurate than the flatline. The only thing i would say that i dont like about the apex barrel is that is sort of like a cheating barrel, but overall the pros greatly outweigh the cons. So i basically ended up spending a bit of more money on my 98c and its not even up to par with a stock A-5 in my opinion when you compare the subtle qualities. So go with the A-5 even though its more money....that would be the money you would end up spending to upgrade your 98c and it wouldnt even come close to a stock A-5.

Ok well I was going to get the 98 custom pro. they ahd that, the 98c and the a5 in stock to look at. The 98 seams like a dam good gun to hold onto and such but the breakdown on the gun dose seam to suck. The a5 breakdown seams much better. In the end even th the 98 custom pro comes with the double trigger and barrel and such, I ended up getting a a5 jsut from the feal of the a5 and such. So hey 98 great gun from what I ahve seen/used but dam it for the extra70$ (canadian) the a5 is the way to go.
