I've seen people w/ semi-auto tigersharks and I was wondering if you can do the same thing w/ a talon?

Hey are you sure it wasn't a Stingray II b/c stingrays look just like tigersharks...and anyways I dont think you could do that w/ a talon...why would you waste your time? lol

I'm positive it was a semi auto tigershark. Look at the picture thread on this forum, and look at toadman's gun. That is it. Why would I want to make a Talon semi-auto? Sometimes I'm really bored and have way to much free time, lol.

I would suggest asking him, but those guns aren't his. I'm sure it's possible to do, I've seen people with semiauto pgp's and other pump guns before. It can't be that much different from a talon right? I'll try go look for some sites with semiauto mods for talons.

The cost of the pneumatics would be worth more than the gun. Sure it would be cool to say "I built a semi-auto talon and you didn't" but it would be a complete waste of time, money, and effort.

I know someone who did it. I've seen it, damn one ugly gun. and it doesn't work to get either. so really I'd keep my talon just the way it is: a nice pump gun.

telefrag,
just about anything is worth more than the Talon! but brass eagle is still an awsome company!! ive got one disassembled rite in fronta me and it doesn't look that bad though!! it feels like a squirt gun tho. lol.
the mechanics of it are simplistic but it actually looks like a koool gun, cant wait to use it.

i was wondering,
if i somehow outfitted the Talon w/ Stingray internals, therefore making it semi-auto, would that work?? i'd have to do some drilling which would ultimately change its appreance but, i bet it would work. let me know.!!!

SPecter i had the exact same idea the two guns measure up to about the same size so it should work

I would like thanks but here it is

yea that's right, it's there semi-auto talon. Fitting Stingray parts wouldn't work because your forgetting that the guns work on 2 different principles, Pump guns use the pump to cock the gun, while stingray uses a spring and gas to cock the gun, so you can't change the parts. What you will have to do is basically make the talon into an autococker by having the the gas operate pnuemantics that pump the gun for you.

Hey evilpoptart, why don't ya just shutup if you don't have anything good to say, if someone wants to build a semi-auto talon for the heck of it they can, and they shouldn't be branded as losers just because they have more inginuiety than you.

I guess I'm gonna have to one up them and pull that off with a blade, which I guess would mean I'd have a vert feed autotalon in essence, minus the possibility of going CA.

Okay............... back onto the subject of semi-auto talons...
If the talon is auto-trigger capable, you could equip it with a sliding-ring trigger-type thing, so when you pull back the trigger, it cocks the gun, and when you push it forward, it shoots.
the trigger pull would be heavy as hell, and probably break the trigger first tho.

LoL, that guy w/ the semi-auto talon should put a drop forward, angel AIR, warp feed, boomy and HALO on it, that would be the ultimate talon and funniest thing in paintball history.:D :D :D

I am working on my first one right now and this is as far as I have progressed with it. When I get home after finals I will have access to the powertools to bolt the 3 way master valve to the gun. I can make them for people.

lol a semi talon would be awesome, it's the pimp gun of paintball. How much would you be selling on for, and does it shoot as good as the pump talon because the regular talon doesnt shoot that bad

 Yes I admit it is a bit silly.

The price for the talons right now would be much less if you guys provided your own talon and the regulator for the co2 tank. Then it would probably only be like in the vicinity of $100 if you provided all of that, but that is very much an estimate and it might be more like $150...but I couldnt see it being any more than that...So probably in the vicinity of between $100 and $150 if you provided the Talon and the Converter. It is pretty labor intensive and it's kinda hard to do because you have to mount a pneumatic cylinder to a plastic frame with clamps that TOTALLY was not meant to do that so you have to be careful not to break it plus a whole bunch of other concerns. But if you are really serious about getting one, you can send me a check to build one and I won't deposit it until the gun is entirely done. Let me work on this first one for the time being and if you want updates on it just email me at matthewdenn@msn.com.

P.S.--I have an A-5 for sale and maybe a Game Face Erex Elite if anyone is interested...

P.S.P.S.--PMI Razor barrel on the Sonix...that was my first real SEMI...(The Spyder Sonix.) I got the back blown out of it when I was assaulting a castle and Spyder gave me an ENTIRELY NEW FRAME FREE! Spyder is a good company. I didn't trust the Brass Eagle Avenger any farther than I could throw it.
