I've been looking at markers and came across the ACI Blind Rage and was wondering what people thought of it.
PLEASE PLEASE don't tell me about any high end markers. I live over 50 miles away from the nearest High pressure compressor. I need to run co2 most of the time and don't want my noid eaten up by it.
So if you could please tell me about the Blind Rage.
Thanks

Its like $300 or something just buy a spyder, then a t-board with eyes, or vexor eye.

i've read a few reviews on it. i don't like it personally but i'll tell you what i know.

it's one of the better spyder clones out there but vastly over priced IMO. the marker has beam break eyes, inline reg, clamping feed neck ect. it's not a whole lot different from other blowbacks going at half the price (game face vexor eye) but it does have a few advantages over your average blowback:

500psi input pressure

inline reg

beam break eyes powered by an AA battery

due to the lower-than-normal operating pressure the marker supposedly has a less kick and, in general, is a smoother marker than your average blowback, still it's no ion, wrath ect. yet costs nearly as much.

if you're dead set on using CO2 then i highly recommend the diablo wrath. the wrath/AR1/O2 use the same 'noid as a E-spyder, meaning that leaky/blown noids are not an issue. with the wrath the air does not come in contact, or flow thorugh, the noid as in the ion or any other fully electro pneumatic marker.

Didn't i say DON'T bring up high end markers? (have somebody read it to you). One of my sons team mates uses a wrath and it sucks. It's slow, on co2 the lp hose blows, It's not very accurate. My Electra kicks it's butt. Insist on using co2?.....A 50 mile drive just to fill my tank is just not worth it.
Please get back on subject.
Now thanks for the opinions they will help.

i hated to bring up the high-end electros but it is essential to my argument. it's overpriced, why? because better markers can be had for the same price. i'd get a PMI EVO and then drop in LP internals and maybe a T-board. ramping and bouncing is allowed at MPG but you need to cap it at 15. if the T-board can be capped at 15 i'd look into it.

EDIT: now the reason you do not want an EP marker is beacuse you don't want to blow your noid running CO2. have you considered the fact that some EP markers can run on CO2 witout blowing their noids? i highly recommend that you go here (http://odyssey.tv/products/markers/o2/) and watch a vid of the EP O2 running on CO2. the odyssey O2 is made to run on CO2 and should handel it just as well as any spyder/clone. you have an electra don't you? i'd just stick with that.

If you have an Electra, why are you looking for yet another extremely overpriced blowback to buy? Even if you have one of the old discontinued Electra's. Put some money into it, T-Board it, etc. It would be a lot cheaper than buying an entire marker.

Exactly. No point jumping from blow-back to blow-back, just put some money into it. $300 Blow-back will all perform the same, though, sadly, $300 blow-back perform like $100 blow-backs...

If you NEED a new marker, get a refurbed Imagine, they're only $63.

On the Blind Rage, I wouldn't really consider it, but it's not my choice.

I didn't say I was looking to buy a new gun, I said that I was looking at markers. The Blind Rage looked and felt like a nice gun, it has a lifetime warranty, and good customer service. I wanted to hear from someone that had been around one. Several companies (diablo, Dragun, etc.) are in trouble and may not be in business much longer. That's why i was asking about ACI. I wanted to know how it performs over the long run.

There goes your last ounce of respectibility.....ACS bolts do not insure that you will not chop, Eyes>ACS bolts.

Just thought I'd share my $.02. You can get the Blind rage for 210 off of ebay. For a while someone with 100% feedback was selling them for 160 (which I thought was a pretty nice deal) but that one seems to have vanished.

Oh and Dunty, we get it by now. You like the Imagine. It is very upgradable and cheap. It might be easier to just make a short PM to send to every new member when they join. :P

And the ACI Assassin is not the best gun ever made. It will never shoot as fast as it's board can because it is limited by the speed at which the bolt can return. Plus the only proof you offer that it's board can fire at 30bps is a bogus claim made by an ebay seller. Someone give me a link to a reputable site that says the 05 has a board which hits 30bps. It doesn't, as far as I know it goes to 18.

The manufactures site says it can hit hit 30bps, though I'd say most people could hit 13bps maybr 15bps luckily, that would be better figures.

you can do 15 on most any blowback if you have a little bounce. you'll need a new microswitch if it's not already a 25 gram to do it and a good trigger though.

By your sig I take it you have a Pro Carbine, explain to me how that's a better than a $63 Imagine.

Tell me where I said the ProCarbine is better then an Imagine. When you find that place you can ask me why I think it is better. Until then I suggest you stop being so defensive about the Imagine. As I said before.

It is very upgradable and cheap

So being upgradable and cheap is a bad thing now? The reason for my sig is because Carbines make 98s and A-5s look like flimsy weak sauce. Hell they make practically every other marker (with the exception of some older ones,) look weak. Although I always have wanted to smack the person who decided a 8lbs trigger spring was a good thing.

The way I took your second paragraph(Correct me if I'm wrong) is that a Pro Carbine is cheap and upgradable?
Pfff....It's not a good deal compared to the Imagine..

P.S. You've been here for like a month or two, how do you know who people are on this site?

Someshta

Yeah, I think you misinterpreted me. I was trying to say that the Imagine is very upgradable and cheap. At $63 it's impossible to beat right now. But I do like my carbine a lot too.

And as to how I know people, I'm assuming your talking about me telling you to just PM people about the Imagine when they join. It's hard to not notice the Imagine get brought up again and again. It is to you what a Phantom is to senghig(sp?). When someone asks what gun to get, it's what you automatically suggest if their price range is around $200.

Hopefully that clears this misunderstanding up for the both of us.
