View Full Version : Why are angles so "good"

All i know is it is a gun that shoots fast and cost lots.
Preety weird who wants to throw paint away?
All the dudes who spray paint should take the time to get a good barrel and a paint match and use semi....auto is stupid if you ask me:D

If anyone says an Angel is inaccurate they need to learn how to friggin aim! My angel has great consistency , gets a good amount of shots from a 68 45, easy to lay paint with, and very low maitenance. I'm not sure what else I would want...maybe a electronic message system

they do use semi . . . i have never seen any angel owner (or other select fire electro owners) use their gun in any other mode than semi. although with a nice electro trigger it is very easy to throw alot of paint, i think its more for snap shooting or back players throwing alot of paint. auto is not only stupid, its illegal in all tourneys and any field that has insurance (hopefully all). you should look around in the other thrads before you post, i know this has come up because i have posted in these (why angels are good) like 3 times. it came down to great looks, speed, reliablitly, feel/balance, status symbol (you can be "the kid with the angel" at your field, hehe)

Yeah, I've never seen anyone use full auto either. Anyways, angels are light, pretty compact, come with excellent parts stock, good efficiency, and they are the coolest looking ever.

i want to know if im only gonna use semi why buy an angel over a cocker?
VeNoM
01-28-2002, 05:51 PM
because even in semi, they are much faster than a cocker. the trigger "pull" isn't even a pull, its more like a touch, you can just vibrate/wiggle your finger on the trigger and throw tons of paint. cockers are more complexed and simply cant cycle as fast as an angel and the trigger is longer so cant be pulled as fast. though cockers are still fast they are not as fast as angels/electros.

Not true, I mean yes they aren't as fast, but hinge-trigger cockers are pretty quick. I mean for consistent firing, not any faster than my angel, but when I want to rip, its hands down Angel. Ditto to everything else said about them.

every one takes that wrong when i say it, cockers are pretty fast. fast enough for most people and fast enough to do what ever you need to in a game. but they are not as fast as an electro, although a nicely tuned hinge can be damn close.

Tru dat. I agree 100 percent. Fast enough, but not as fast. Course whats "fast enough"?

You sound like youve never even shot an Angel, no offense. Borrow one from a buddy and play a day with it and you will see FIRSTHAND what all the so-called hype is about. They are great markers.

so if all that is good about them is the trigger and weight, than whats wrong with a bushy? It is MUCH lower pressure, just half the price.

And after you upgrade it, like adding: Sonic ASA , Sonic LPR and
Green Gen-x 2 reg. It costs almost as much as an Angel.
There is also a HUGE difference in the feel of an Angel vs a BM2K.
However, hands down, I LOVE how the BM2K is super light!! My Angel feels like a tank compared to my friends BM2K.

ok. that was my descision to add the regs and asa. if i had an angel i would be doing the same sorts of things SO it would still be $500 less to buy a b2k and upgrade it.I dont quite see what your getting at.

I'm not trying to start a flame, so please do not read it that way.
When people upgrade Angels it's because they want to. Most Angle "upgrades" do nothing for performance. Most BM2K owners upgrade because they have to. The stock HPR is junk. To replace the HPR you have to buy a new ASA because the stock one is non standard. Things like that.

i think it takes gladiators too . . . not sure though :eyes:
bushies are nice guns but are they just aren't on the same levels as angels (well, nice LCD's) i feel the angels are just more advanced. . . if you have the money for an angel and really want one, go for it. but if you can't afford one bushies are sweet and over $500 less . . .

Why get an Angel?
Speed - Very fast, both in MROF (13-20), and in trigger. Most guns claim to be able to go 13, but doesnt mean its going to get anywhere near it.
Why need speed? Shoot faster to use less....Sure you might love doing 10bps+, but the fact is, your gonna be able to hit that guy quicker using high ROF for a lower ammount of time..Great gun for taking out quick little players...Better to empty about 50 balls on a guy in a few seconds than spend the rest of the game unloading a hopper on him.
Reliability - Typically, an Angel can get a huge ammount of shots before needing any new parts....The gun should be able to withstand 200k shots before needing any replacement parts like exaust valves, and such.
Efficency - Angels are typically very efficent....You should be getting no less than 1500 shots per 68/45...And I've known people to get near 2500 with thier setups.
Also....Bm2k triggers are NOT like Angel triggers. I own a Bm2k, I love it. But unless you buy a Sonic frame, you aren't typically going to get the Angel ROF....Shooting long strings of 10+bps is harder on a Bm2k. As well as the quick 3-5 shot bursts.
Bm2ks take gladiators just like Angels do....But you need the ASA addapter.
BTW, the stock HPR isn't junk.....Although it could do without the coin-slot for the adjusting cap.....It isnt junk...It gets the same consistancy as a WDP Minireg.

That is one of the better things about angels, is what wolvie said, most angel upgrades do nothing for performance because they are already top notch. Out of the box they are awesome guns!!!! I personally like them because they are very light weight, and as a front player these are great guns for snap shooting! And it can still lay down some paint when a game calls for it.

play a full game with one.
that is why I am buying an angel (actually, probalby IR3) my matrix is fast... it is quiet... it is accurate....
but just doenst have the well rounded performance and feel and style of the angel.
the angel has style.
if you shoot a BM2K, people will probably not notice it.
if you are shooting a new angel, people's heads will turn... especially at your local field (unless your field regurlally hosts pan am events or NPPl events like mine does....
dont doubt the angel's performance either.
it shoots nicer than every marker out there... in terms of balance between speed, accuracy and effeciency.
sure they cost alot, (realitivley they cost nothing, though), but you still get the most "bang for your buck" imagine that with the most expensive marker on the market.

an angel has 100% of technology out there. The bushmaster has 80% of that technology for half the price. The extra $600 is for the last 20% of the technology. That last 20% is mostly bells and whisels so the b2k is definately the best bang for you buck.

Nothing against shocker,imps,cockers,bushies,defy,timmy...ect all of those markers you have to upgrade to make on par with an angel. Besides tunning the trigger and having a decent air system, Angels offer the best bang for the buck out of the box, after you finishing upgrading a shocker... you spend about just as much.

Well..............
IMO it depends , i really don't think angels are worth the price you pay for them for most kinds . But since the price on LCDs just dropped down to the 1000ish price range you're gettin a good ammount of stuff for your money.
If you REALLY want the biggest bang for your buck , get a LED angel , i paid $560 for mine.....works just as nice as LCDs . but 1/2 the price.
Asylum

where di u get a led for 560?
mrstickball
02-19-2002, 12:19 PM
Net....... I sorta got jipped on it too. If you really want a angel ,you can pick up a LED w/ goodies for $500 , and a LCD with some goodies for $700 , just gotta look , wait , and have cash in hand.

it is $500!!!!!! that is not that much money!!!!!
even for kids!
honestly.... $1000 is less than 6 months of work!
that aint that much.
sure... you could spend 600 and get a nice led...
it is still infinatley better than bm2k.
I, however, plan on spending no less than 2k, buying a black WDP IR3 angel. I am also buying a 45/45k angel air for my new IR3.
am I rich?
by no means am I rich..............well.... not ME personally.
I want to spend as much money as possible to buy the nicest, best in terms of performance, marker on the planet.
I believe the IR3 offers that.
so stop whining that angels are overpriced.
they arent.
1K isnt much money at all.
bushys, even tricked out ones, dont even compare to the high end angels.
if they did, I am sure pro players would be happy shooting bushys.
but they dont shoot bushys.
they shoot angels or high end cockers.
there is no substitution for performance.

well i happen to be 12 years old so it is a little bit harder than you make it seem to raise 1000 dollars. you probably get paid $300 to take out the garbage and $700 to empty your cats litter box. judging by your stupendous lack of logic and extreme level of stupidity, id say it would probably take you about 6 months to do both of those...i mean....

No I disagree, I work alot and 1000 dollars (if I dont have to pay a carpayment of taxes that week) is only about 3 weeks pay. Its easy to make money before you live on your own. BTW I"m 19 goto school, play tourneys, race cars, GIG alot with my band and shoot an LCD fly. Course I'm selling my shocker to help pay for it.

yea... I am only 18...
and how do you get me having a lack of logic, or smarts of any kind, for that matter?
$1000 isnt that much at all.
like I said, I am not rich.
I have already spent over 2K of my own money (that I worked for) on paintball gear, nice upgraded cocker, matrix, etc, etc. I worked for 2 semesters at a paintball field. I was paid $6.50 an hour. but because I worked at a paintball field, I was able to pick up the stock cocker for $300, and the matrix for $600.
get a job at a paintball field. one field never has too many refs.
ohh, and when you want to start flaming me, you 12 year old, please do it with some knowledge of what the hell you are talking about.
I am an economics major at the University of Arizona. I am taking 200 level math courses as a freshman. I am also taking one 300 level composition course. this semester alone, I am taking 18 credits. I got over a 1200 on my SAT. I still have time to work, be the director of the west division of the National Collegiate Paintball Association, be the a member of one paintball team, and the captain of another.
I am not bragging. I am presenting counter-examples to your theory that I have an "stupendous lack of logic and extreme level of stupidity..."
I would challange you any day in both the class room and on the paintball field. (although you are 12... in the classroom, you would be applying your knowledge to material suited to you, and I would be doing the same for material suited to me.)
please, continue to flame me. I dont mind. it just makes you look stupid.
wolverine
