Question about Stiffi barrels

Basically what does it mean stepped? I'm going for a stiffi barrel and was wondering what it meant it is stepped, and why?

dude that made no sense but stiffi barrels are great barrels there very light and very accurate but wat u said made no sense

on the stiffi, it is stepped correct? now I was wondering what that meant. what is stepped? and why would a single be stepped.

It means once you get a certain distance down the barrel it widens so not to break the ball. A paintball reachs it full velocity at 6in and thats where the "step" usually is. Most if not all barrels are like this. And stiffi is a great choice
