I dont remember where I heard it, but i think it may have been here....i dunno. anyway i heard that if you take your spiffy dremel tool and the fromt bolt of your 98, and you sand little notches, (I think thats how theyd be described) you could reduce the ball breaks and have increased accuracy because you have allowed some space for the air (or co2, or nitro or what have you) to cover more of the paintball's surface. I dont remember where i got it....maybe i made it up, but i dotnthink so. Anyone done this? Know what it does if anything? lemme know, id appreciate it.

You could look in the "Custom Modifications" forum.

Yea I dunno about that, never heard of anything like that myself, but chek Custom Mods, I'm sure there's someone there can point you in the right direction.

Do you actually have problems with ball breaks? I think most of the time ball breaks come from either bad paint, or shooting faster than your hopper can feed. Now if you had a sharp point on the tip of the front bolt that poked every ball, yeah, sand it down, that'll break balls pretty often.

This sounds a lot like when Venturi bolts were the hot new thing. Everybody had to get one, but most people didn't have a problem with ball breaks anyway.

Sounds like a waste of time to me, and possibly you could ruin your bolt.

i just remebered a bolt mod somewhat similar to what your describing. ITs a modded tippmann jam bolt. You cut the front bolt in half and use the fron t and attach a spring to it....
i forget where i saw it....
