i love all da upgrades on the ratpulses...how they come with everything like da blade and full flow....but does anyone think that the milling is just ugly on the gun body and the front cap? at first they looked tyte but now its like...man i dont want one of those. i mean they are totally awesome guns...but da milling? a curvy line down each side and a spiral down the front cap? i dunno, im not a big fan. great gun tho.

I think they look ok. It isn't my favorite mill job, but a lot of people like it. And if you like it and want it then thats all that matters. If someone doesn't like the mill job but wants all the upgrades, then just ask e-paintballoutlet to get all that stuff on a different looking imp....easy as that.

It's not the milling that counts, it's the performance. And for the price, i don't think you can find a better Custom Impulse.

A TKO from paintballgear.com with vision is $800. All it comes with is a lightened trigger and a vert maxflo reg.

for $50 more you get the Rat, with vision, a freak barrel, blade trigger, VFF and vert maxflo.

Damn thing could have turds milled on the side, I'd still buy it.

We have had a few negetive feed back on the milling. Frankly- this isn't the milling we wanted. But they claimed you couln't do the milling we wanted so we scaled back a little to get these things out.

The only part we have had a real reaction to has been the valve cap-- we also had a few valve caps made up stock with matching ano so the fokes that don't like the twisted snout can get the 'normal" cap instead.

I think when you order a rat impulse, it would be cool to get one of those small toy rats that you can put on your hopper. Hehe.

Actuly, I was looking around for some small HARD rats (not soft rubber) that were about a 1/2 inch long. My thought was we could make a pull pin with a male threade (like 10-32) insted of a knob. they you could screw in a Rat - of a Dice Or just ablut any little kich nack you could drill and tap for 10-32.

I just haven't found anything.

I am new to the impulse scene and have been wowed by the ratpulse. I think the milling is ok (i agree with muck ). I haven't done the leg work yet, but am wondering if it is cheaper to get the stock impulse and then add all the cool stufff the rat has? Or would it be better to just get the rat? Just thought i'd ask.

same here Gibralter, I'm new to the Impulse scene too and my gut feeling is it would be less to buy the stock impulse and upgrade it. With the Rat, you are paying for the milling and annodizing. I think www.e-paintballoutlet.com offers the base impulse with the same mods at the Rat (without the freak barrel) for about $500.

That is alot better than $700. So, you could get all the same stuff that is on the ratpulses and place on a regular impulse? I could go for that.

For $500 you get Vertical Max-flo and Blade trigger. With the Ratpulses for $700 you get CHOICE of ANY Trigger, ANY Bolt, VFF, Freak Back with Choice of Insert, and Choice of SP Grips and Color. For $150 extra add the Vision. Now the Choice you make will depend on whether its in stock or how long you want to wait for it to come in. Some Companys are VERY slow getting out wholesale parts.

They should be in no later than next wednesday, but what I have listed above is the New deal FOM is giving out.Also the Bluegrass Rat will be in at the same time, I have ordered one of these for my daughter and a Moonlight Rat for me :)

Ok the Bluegrass Rat is a Dark Blue version of the standard Rat. The ROS (Rat on Speed) is a High Polished Silver with clear anno,
It comes stock with Vision and I-Frame plus all the goodies and choices from the Standard Rat version. These will go for around $975, could be more or less depending on Smart Parts. The Moonlight Rat will be DARK DARK Blue Highly polished Rat, stock with Vision, I-frame, Custom Rat Fore-grip, Match Max-flo Reg with either 68/4500 or 88/4500 Tank, plus all the choice of the rest of the Rats, No idea on the cost of these yet, although SP says they are working on the details. Sorry I post a lot in PBNation and didnt realize there wasn't a full crossover of people, I will try to duplicate the posts between the two from now on.

who came up with the name rat anyway? isn't a rat a dirty little rodent that lives in the sewers and in most new york city apartments. just a question to ponder, why not call it the moose pulse or the bald eagle pulse or even the horny toad pulse. yes this is useless chatter i bring to you know, but some people would like a little background before investing into this rat pulse.

You should all know Walt and Craig (FOM) Walts has a paintball team called The Ratdogs, and Craig is the manager, I play Back, Walt plays front and some of you know Spork who also plays Mid-front. So the custom Impulse is named after the Team

Well Moma Gray rat is due any day. Many of her rats are already spoken for, but there should be 3-5 still avdiable.

Moma Blast-black looks about 10 days away. There should be about 10 or so still advaible when she drops.

The one we are most worried about is Moma bluegrass. This is her first litter. She is due the same time as Blast-black- but often first time mothers are late. We are exspecting a big litter, but a lot are spoken for. I woun't even sware any of hers will be advaible for sale as we have had a lot of pre orders.

ROS nad Moon lites are a way out still-- had to wait on a new batch of I-frames.
