I just got my impulse in today and was dry firing it through out the day. Later that day, when i turned on the gun, the led would show when i fired but the solenoid wouldnt click. I was dry firing my gun at about 50-75 psi. HELP!!

Sometimes the solenoid click comes and goes when you fire without air. This is normal and nothing to worry about.
Put some air on the Imp and then try it. I'm sure the gun will still cycle. If not, then (and only then ) you have a problem.

if it doesnt fire with air, its usually 90% of the time the battery. if its not the battery, its the solenoid.

I swapped the battery and it still doesn't fire. I have a full PMI 68ci tank and it still doesnt shoot when gassed up. Before i open it up to check the wires and solenoid, will i be voiding any of my warranty?

OK, heres what i did. After putting in a new battery, and all that, today, me and my friend (who is quite knowledgable of the impulse, and also owns one) took the grip frame off, and checked the wires. We took the wire from the solenoid to the board out, and reconnected it, and the same from the the board to the solenoid, and it still wouldnt fire. The funny thing is that when i push the manual button on the solenoid and pull the trigger, it fires. but it will only fire after i push that button on the solenoid..?? Whats up with that? We then put the grip frame back on, and tried to gas it up, and still no action. My solenoid wouldnt be broken, if It fired after i pushed that button and pulled the trigger right??? But all this was done in a matter of 3 minutes, so i think i will try look at it again after i get some feedback from anybody on here.
Thanks for all info provided

When you pull the trigger, do you see the green light come on?

Make sure your running enough input pressure. Like 180 pounds. Give mipaintball/e-paintballoutlet a call, one of the guys on my team had one with a dead board. Not joking, I mean I spent 3 complete days tearing through a brand new imp (1 year ago) rebuilt everything, checked eveything, I mean with a voltmeter, everything. Turns out bad board, it happens. Sucks when it does though. Call those guys they are great.

this confuses me. does the LED come on every time you pull the trigger?

yes, the little green led blinks when you pull the trigger when the gun is on. Good luck fixing it. On my old Imp, the battery got connected wrong. it melted off one battery wire's solder, and I just couldnt figure it out. I even ripped out the switch and put in a wire and then I noticed the melted solder. Turns out the gun had other issues (it was used, and vandalized by the earlier user) so I sold it (I did tell the other guy about the problems

You could have a clogged solenoid. Try cleaning it and see if that works. Smart Parts has detailed instructions on thier wed page.

i have had this too, but only when I was adjusting the trigger. the trigger frame wasn't aligned all that great so I just moved it a little until I didn't have that problem.

sorry, I just realized you already have an Imp, and also just realized that you arent that stupid to not know if the led lights up. Try pressing in that switch the trigger hits when you pull iit. If the led blinks then, I dont know what the prob is. make sure you have your bettery attached when doing that. If it doesnt light up when you hit the switch, (its on the board) then your board is bad
