well, where do you live? if its a very cold (like below 50* on average) i would get the nito, if you are in a warmer climate like california or sumthin, i would get the barrel. how much are you looking to spend? you can get a bizerk barrel so you can match different size paints in your barrel for $79 . . .

hehe, thats cool . . . ya i would go with the barrel. unless the paint you use fits and shoots fine out of your current barrel

But. . . how is your current barrel accurate? Nitro just makes your gun look that much mroe expensive :-D

no nitro does not just look expensive, it has performance advantages. it will be more consistant (which can reslut in better accuracy), cleaner for your gun, no clouds of co2 (if you live in clod climate) to block your view, and can recharge faster so you will not get shootdown . . .

Nitro! I don't care if it's hot in Cali or not, get a 48/3000 PMI preset for 70 bucks NOW! Everyone who runs their gun on CO2 literally SUFFERS.

Really? i never needed the nitro on my phantom:rolleyes: the only people that were suffering were the people i bunkered.

If I'm not mistaken, running a pump on co2 is much different than a semi. Do I hear a little lip in your response?

um... nitro has the same effect on all guns... the ROF is just not quite as high.

I don't think you understood. Co2 performs great on most pumps, especially phantoms. So, you're right, you don't need nitro. However, semis (like sO Deuce's Flash, which the thread is ABOUT) will suffer from Co2. You get shoot down, your gun can freeze in cold weather, it's not as consistent, etc. So, I told him to get nitro for HIS semi not YOUR pump. And I don't care how uber you are that you can bunker people with your phantom.
As for sO Deuce... I saw better performance with my aftermarket barrel than my stock, of course. However, since I play in cold weather most of the year, when I got my nitro tank I was more impressed with its improvement over co2 than I was with my barrel's improvement over the stock. Both will be great upgrades, it just depends on what climate you live in. Co2 will perform good in warm weather, for the most part. I'd still tell you to get nitro instead, but if you can, get both. Save up, it will be worth it.
What I have is a Lapco Bigshot ($50 at paintballbarrels.com) and a 48/3000 presest PMI n2 tank ($70 at paintballgear.com). Both were well worth the money.

dood co2 works fine unless you play in very cold weather. i used co2 on my shutter (first gun) with a big shot on it and it worked great. i had very tight groups and no shoot down . . . i actually have not noticed all that much of a difference in my jump to nitro (slightly tighter groups and zero shootdown, but co2 worked fine) a barrel should always be the first thing upgraded, you are telling him to put nitro on his flash with the stock kingman barrel! i did not suffer with co2 nore do my dad or brother or the many others who use co2. granted n2 is better, you act like co2 wont operate a semi.

I totally agree with VeNoM, get the barrel first and then nitro.

Ok ive decided to just go with the barrel for now...cause in the summer its hotter then a mutha here...
FYI- You guys refer to the Flash as a semi....it is electric...

Gee, sorry. Sounds like I struck a nerve there. Maybe I shouldn't use such harsh words like SUFFER. All I was saying was that I found n2 to be a better upgrade than my aftermarket barrel. Everyone has their own experiences.

if they(your parents) are buying either a nitro tank or a barrel, then go with whatever is more expensive! you can get a really nice nitro for about 250 bucks. then you don't have to spend as much money.:D
