what are the benefits to the raised sight rail compared to the stock. Which is better for a custom 98 the tippman raised sight rail or the lapco.

I prefer my lapco, but its all a matter of preference.
I believe the Tippmann version comes in a variety of colors, while the lapco is only available in black and nickel plated.

I've got a Lapco, and I've noticed that it's offset to the left a bit from the center of my barrel. Throws my aiming off. Any ideas anyone? Keep in mind washers probably won't work on the screws, since those screws are so stinkin' short...

Try the washer trick, just go to home depot and pick up some longer machine screws.
Thats what i did with mine, and it worked beauuuuutifully.

*nods* I'll try that. What's the screw size. I can't tell exactly by looking at it...
