ANGEL LCD HELP
01-27-2002, 12:12 PM
I just bought a used angel from a store off the net. Its a 2000 dark angel lcd with a Air america tank Rator rex 68cc 4500psi, and a side winder reg. Everything appears to be find but when i hook it all up the gun doesnt fire just make's alittle duh duh sound like its just getting a whisp of air. If tried adjusting the reg on the tank in every position. Does the same thing. I tried adjusting the sidewinder. Same thing. I tried putting the factory reg on same thing. I took off the sight rail and by passed the elctronics by pushing the orange button. It did the same thing. I called the store and the swear it worked. I they thought it sounded like it wasnt getting air. So before i ship it back to have them look at it i fgured id see what you guys thought. I only have about 1500 psi in my tank but everyone thinks that shouldnt matter. Any input would be greatly aprciated. We only have one local store here and they want 30 bucks an hour to look at it. And i know no one who knows any thing about angels.

hey man u r in the same predicament i wa in a month ago, luckly the owner of the field i play at is WDP CERTIFIED so he looked at it and told me that it had a broken jackhammer (i thought those were only on cockers but i guess not) anyways u might have some1 look at ur jackhammer or ur 14 way valve. Thats somethin to help u get it fixed.

1500psi is more than enough to get an Angel to cycle.

If you pushed the little button on the 14-way and nothing happened, you do have problems. Things to check are the Dwell (set to 14) and the Snap ring. There are instructions on WDP's site in the Tech section for setting the Snap Ring. In the diagrams it's an LED but the process is the same.

cashmoney - Angels do not have jackhammers.

wel damn that tech, he told me that the jackhammer in the Angel was broken, i thought that those only came on cockers, and i got ripped off.

i agree with wolverine.. sounds like a snap ring mostly.. take off the sight rail and while the gun is gased up hit the orange button on top of the solenoid (you cant miss it) if it still clicks, you will want to adjust the snap ring.. you can find a how to on g3pb.com or in the manual. if that dosnt work your LPR might be set too low.. you will need to add shims per the owners manual.
