OK this question is long and may take some math and real world experimentation so here it is...

On my Tipp 98 c i have a dead on x-core 8 stage x-chamber, which currently is connected to my asa adapter (stock) via Macro Line

I have had numerous problems w/ my macro line and have decided to play it safe by switching to braided steel

heres the question...

after installing a 90 degree elbow on the bottom of my x-chamber, how long will the steel braided hose have to be to fit perfectly into my asa adapter

i know this question is hard but its a good drive to the nearest pro paintball shop and i am without a vehicle, i figure i could order exactly what i need to save them the trouble of having to.

i know i could measure the distance but i dont know whenther or not the length description on stell braided hoses includes the fittings or not.

(you could save yourslef some time my telling me if length descriptions on county paintball.com include the fittings)

I remember seeing somewhere someone measured the length of hose needed for tons of different tippmann setups. Some were with X chambers, some Regs, different drops/ASA etc. I thought it was Countypaintball. Pretty much every possible combination was there, and it told the exact length. You'd probably want it to be a little big if anything. If it has a little bend, it's okay.

I'd say... 12" should do you perfect. Nobody's going to give you an exact measurement, simply because we can't. If I was you, I'd just order more than what I needed.

'Sides, the extra hose looks cool.

12" is WAY too much. I was thinking more like 7".

Meh. Working with a lot of hose is much easier for me.

i just want everything to fit so i dont end up with a kink and messin up my hose. 7 is prolly closer, i think i might go with that

k i have a good answer, i just wanted a second opinion, feel free to close this thread :P

Yea 7" will do you fine. You could probably even make it with 6.

You asked for help, people tried to give it to you, and now you're saying "OH HAHA GUESS WUT U GUYZ DONT KNO". Well, that's a great way for people to not help you.

No one can do those measurements for you. We don't know how big your drop is. Not sure what sort of "problems" you could have had with macroline. Figure it out for yourself.

I did a rough measurement, and 7" is too long. 6" looks to be about perfect.

lol just take a pice of nylon cord and use that to measure the distance then buy the same length hose (round up)

alright, i bought a 7" and it fits but kinda funny,

6 would have been perfect but itll cost me another 17$ to get it ($10 minimum at county paintball and $7 shipping)

so what i have will work, looks kinda cool

thanks for the help guys, next time i need to make a purchase, ill order the correct gas line.

NOTE: to anyone w/o a drop forward and a dead on x-core 8-stage on thier tippy 98c, if u use the 90 degree connector elbow 6" is perfect for it
