.691 should be alright :)
eh...i would get a .687 and a .689. .691 is just a little big and you will even sacrifice air efficiency. the most used bore size in my freak kit is my .687.

Current paintball science says that bore sizing is a fad and has no bearing on accuracy, therefore a bigger bore (to avoid breaks) is ideal. I personally have found that a better match yields slightly better accuracy, but that depends on the assumption that the paint is of a consistent size and you won't bust a large ball in your barrel (wow that sounded sketchy).
IMO, .691-.693 is ideal.

lets say you were using .697 insert and you were shooting .679 paintballs or something
And that doesnt affect your accuracy at all? bleh i think current paintball science is crazy (The paint is going to bounce in the barrel)
and i also go back on this http://webdog.specialopspaintball.com/video/tipclip/WDR11hi.wmv

First of all, webdog radio is not a reliable source for anything. Its a great site for newbies, but that's about it.
Now in the situation you mentioned, then yes, I think it would affect accuracy considderably. But most paint is over .685, and .697 is way too big for anything.
My understanding is that the air is distributed evenly around the outside of the paintball, so it will not bounce around even though it is not touching the edges of the barrel.
hm, never heard about that. where did you hear it?

I don't know. Like all theories on accuracy, I've never seen any conclusive evidence either way, or anything resembling a controlled and extensive experiment. It seems logical to me that the paintball, being a flexible object, will expand under the pressure of the air rushing out the bolt to fit the diameter of the back piece. Once it hits the front piece, which usually has a much greater diameter, it will return to its original shape as the air expands and loses pressure behind the ball, and the cusion of air that I described will take effect.
Again, I have no idea what I'm talking about, its just what makes sense to me. I can say for sure that I get great accuracy with small paint in my .692 bore, with no breaks.
hmmmm, now that i think about it i guess that kinda makes sense.... whatever works for you, though.

I only use my .691, Ive been told with heat and humidity paintballs swell and I live in miami where there is more than enough of both to go around so thats my favorite insert.
