I'm on the market for an Impulse, but the big question is, "Do I get it with Vision or without Vision?"

A lot of tournament players I know say Vision is a must have. Some say only front players need it. Some say it isn't needed at all. So, after receiving so much friendly avice, I'm confused as Hell.

can you outshoot 12bps often during your average run-of-the-mill games?? If so, with a 12vt revy, then you need a vision. That is the way I decided vision or not, and Ive not chopped a ball yet (no vision for me)

Impy's right unless you're gonna be doin alot of tournys or you've got a blazin trigger finger! Ya probably won't need a vision, I don't have them on either of my two Imps, and have yet to chop, and I do have blazin fingers!

I had the same questions as muck. The vision sounds sweet, but my fat, stubby fingers don't have the speed, so it sounds no vision for me.

I've chopped balls in my gun, but never because I outshot my hopper ... O-rings coming loosed, odd size balls and such. I'd like to get vision, because I'd like to get into the tourny end paintball, and I've got a good trigger finger, but I don't think I can outshoot the hopper. I think I've made my mind up. No vision, Full Freak Kit.

A vision will detect that (swollen paint, not in proper alignment) There is no argument there, however if your running with fresh good paint and your marker is up tp snuff (lubed, gased) you shouldn't have any chop suey problems!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking ... plus, I rarely have problems with small to medium bore paint ... which is a necessity in humid central florida.

MuckRaker, Vision user here, it's not only the speed that should be considered, but also the angled shots. When you lean out of the bunker, you don't have to worry about keeping your gun vertical for the paint to fall through to the chamber. If you lean too far off, obviously your 12bps hopper speed will slow down that's where Vision comes in handy. I notice it every game I play that I am shooting at 25-30 degrees angles and sometimes I skip shots because of the Vision stopping me. If you have extra 150 bucks, I totally recommend. Better getting it at the same time you get the gun, than sending it back in later.

Well i remeber talking to you way back when and ya said that woods was alittle bit more your game for the time being, and thus accuracy plays in a little bit more, so for that, i say, freak now, vision later if needed. BTW, get an AA front, they're 13 inches.
