So about a week ago i saw an article on the spyder forum about a guy who made his own striker bolt out of aluminum, i decided to do the same. So today i brought home my creation. I put it in the gun, screw in my tank, went out back and fire off a few rounds. It worked well but i noticed that if i held down the trigger it auto fired. now im not saying this isnt cool but wat do you think might be happening?

Somethings wrong with the sear not catching? Ask in the spyder forum.

Sounds like that to me. May have cut the little lip it catches on too short.

EDIT: wait, so you just made the bolt and have the same hammer? I thought by striker you meant hammer. Its a sear problem then.

I read the thread title and assumed your post would be about the Quest gun. You made me sad.

As for the full auto, you have sear problems.

How did you make the bolt?

i smell shens. the way spyder sears are designed, they automatically return to the "ready" position after being fired, even when the trigger is held down. if there is a sputtering/full auto effect when you hold the trigger down, it's not because the trigger is held down. has this been tested with paint so you know that it is still firing properly, or is it just sputtering?

Yea spydey I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he removed a spring in the frame but then it wouldn't matter if he held the trigger down or not. Idk
