oh man...here goes...
what's the advantage of a HALO or any electric hopper at $50-$60 as opposed to a $5 viewloader? please excuse my utter newbie-ness and help me out:P

well, the regular hoppers arent electric, they depend solely on gravity. also, without electric hoppers, balls tend to get jammed up, and wont feed.

now, WITH electric hoppers, theres a little propeller like paddle in the hopper, and it spins around, stirring the balls, making sure that they always feed into your gun, removing any uncertain thoughts that your next shot wont fire. they feed way faster too

with a plane gravity feed hopper it will feed about 4-5 bps and you will outshoot it pretty easy. with a 12v rev it will feed about 12-13 bps wich is pretty tuff to outshoot.

would a 9volt revvy work well? wats the main difference betweeen that and the 12 vt revvy besides te price?

9volt revvy only has one 9 volt battery and the propeller inside the hopper only has 2 blades.

12volt revvy uses 2 9 volt batterys and the propeller inside the hopper has 4 blades.

i would say get the 12volt revvy

or you can buy the 9v for now, and later when you start outshooting it, buy a vortex impeler and a X-board. my 2 cents.

The 5 loader solely rely on gravity and recoil if you have a open bolt gun like a spyder or tippman with lots of recoil you do not need a electric hopper if you have mag cocker electro you mite want to think about it.

I`m affraid I will have to disagree with the last post. I got my 12v when I was still using my Rebel Extreme (basically a Spyder Shutter) and I overshooted my grav loader too often and got chops from time to time. I´can shoot faster with my Rebel X than some ppl who just got their automag and autocockers and are not used to the trigger or just shooting fast. I´ve seen ppl shot pretty fast with tippman c98 with not electronic trigger, just a 2 finger one and needing a 9v, hitting the loader under rapid shotting is too annoying and kills your accuracy too.
