is it worth the extra money for the pro ion or just get the normal ion. i know the ion pro cost's 50 dollars extra but you get a few xtras. i've researched it but can't decide witch to get.

Personally, I recently just bought an Ion for my daughter. I just went with the basic one, replaced the stock feedneck with a clamping low rise, and bought the NDZ Mini rail to replace the Duckbill. I preferred picking out my own personal upgrades. I preferred these parts to the upgraded parts on the Ion Pro

Don't get the pro, the upgrades it comes with suck for what they are, and theyre uber ugly... if you do your own upgrading you can find better deals and get exactly what you want

too young for you :dodgy: if you go ion, then get a new trigger and barrel first. the feedneck is fine wiht a little scotch tape.

A new barrel isn't needed right away, omenpimp. From what I've heard about Ions, the stock barrel is pretty good. I've heard only of two things that are pretty much necessary to upgrade.

1. Duckbill - Get rid of it and throw on a rail with an on/off asa.
2. Feedneck - Get a clamping one.

A new trigger is not really needed, unless you really like CP-style triggers. The stock one will work very nicely and is very walkable once you take out the magnets. I got a chance last weekend to compare a stock trigger to a stock trigger w/o magnets, and I have to say, taking out the magnets makes a world of difference.

Yep, get rid of that Duckbill pronto, then the feedneck. And If you have a Halo, get some new detents to.

Don't forget to add a QEV to it. This will arguably increase the Ion's performance more than any other upgrade part (barring a nice barrel). Also definitely get the clamping feedneck and nice on/off as mentioned above.

I don't have a daughter, but im thinking of getting one so that I can buy an ion for her. Or a dmbajillion.

I disagree about the qev.. with the stock board theres no reason for it to cycle any faster, just makes it louder, increases kick and speeds up oring wear.. With my Orange bolt I got better efficiency without it

Unimount, Feedneck, Trigger (VP Scythe), Barrel, and you're set

thank for the help but i've posted this other places with the promaster a choice so ive decided on a promaster. just becasue everyone has an ion and it has lots of firing modes.

Anyone have info on the Dynasty Ions?

If it looks anything like the dynasty shocker then it will look like crap and make you spoom your eyes out.

It has a Q-Lock, Freak back, Front Insert, and they are all color matched.

IMO, regular Ion.
