Okay, so Shadow closed it, posting this.

Since when are debates about legalizing marijuana allowed in OT?

I've noticed this entire time that nowhere in any of the rules of OT does it say you can not have discussions about something such as this. Instead, shouldn't it have been moved to the Politics section of OT?

It really wasn't a debate, either. It was an actual discussion based on Denver legalizing marijuana, and as long as it remains a discussion and not a deabate, I think it should remain open.

It was at Shadow's discretion. I saw it but left it open as it was more about current news and events than drugs. Shadow saw it differently and chose to close it and that's cool with me. He's modding OT, so it's his fourm and he can do what he wants with threads like that.

in a case like this, the OT tribunal would discuss whether or not the thread deserves to be closed. shadow made the initial decision, and i couldn't care less either way, so even if turambar said "yes, open it," my vote would cancel them both out and it would remain the same.
