I have been considering upgrading to a better marker and the Freestyle has always been high on my list. Although, ever since i started working at a field, i see so many problems with them. Half of the Freestyles i see are leaking out of different points on the marker. I still think a Freestyle may be a good marker but this has really dissuaded me from getting one. Can anyone give me good reasons to buy one, as the leaking ones are scaring me away from buying the marker.

Custom, why are you still here if all you do is badmouth and veer people away from ICD? :D

No offense, cuz you helped me out 100x29 but...you are always janking on ICD. I am extremely happy with my FreeStyle and it'll be the next gun I get. I had problems before, but now I have it shooting like a charm..

I still luv you though :P lol jk

95% of the leaks and problems that people have with Freestyles are caused by user error. Either they don't know how to tune the regs properly, or they don't know how to lube it properly (and in some sad cases both). The FS is an awsome marker. It is probably the fastest marker on the market right now, and kicks the **** out of practically everything in accuracy. If you have the money, go to shorepaintballsupplies.com and order one the FS7s, they have them on sale right now.

I would highly recommend the V7. They are presently on sale and it is by far the fastest marker I have ever owned. I presently have the board in mine set to ramp up to 30 BPS and it has no problem cycling at this speed, what so ever!!!

The V7 is also one of the lightest markers on the market right now. It also has some great features found on markers that cost almost twice as much.
Some of those features include:
Break beam Paint Detection System (aka PDS)
High pressure reg for gas source to propel ball
Low pressure reg for cocking of marker
Clamping feed neck
Adjustable board (includes 5 firing modes, dwell adjustment, trigger debounce and BPS cap)
Trigger disable/enable PDS system
3 External adjustments for the trigger (spring tension, switch activation and trigger back travel stop)
2 Selectable pivot points
The FSV7 also features a solenoid that is designed specifically for paintball. It has a higher operating pressure than the noids used in most markers allowing for a overload safety range for the noid.
etc.... I can probably keep going with this list but I think this shows what the FSV7 offers.

I have owned three of them. Nothing like paying twice as much for a stretched and overweight bushy :)

A. go find some weights...lift weights...be stronger
Why would I want to purchase weights.
So let me get this correct. You want me to spend several hundred dollars more on a Timmy plus additional funds on weights so I am strong enough to hold it up?!?!?! Why would I do that when I could just purchase a FSV7 that is lighter than a Timmy in the first place and save myself a few hundred and buy paint instead of weights.

Maybe I am wrong but I think the purchase of paint would be a much more logical purchase for my new PB marker than weights. Not to mention I pack weights around all day long for a living so I highly doubt that I need to purchase any to build my strength up enough to shoot a Timmy.

B. longer accualy is better...:dodgy:
This could be debated until days end. In some ways I will agree with you and in others I will disagree with you. By having a longer marker you hands are spread further apart thus giving you a better base which should help keep you on your target. At the same time by having a longer base you now have a longer side profile as well, you win some you lose some.

Now if we compare the FSV7 to the Timmy and B2K markers you will find that the B2K is the shortest of the three. The FSV7 is in the middle while the Timmy is the longest.

I know you had a FS and you were disappointed with the efficency of the marker but I think you need to check out a FSV7 in your local area and compare it to your timmy. At $675 for a FSV7 I think you will find that it will outpreform most fully upgraded Timmy's, by doing one simple upgrade. Yes replace the HPR. This is the only thing that isnt stock on my FSV7. I replaced it simply for a more consistant shot to shot FPS. My stock reg was holding in at + or - 4-5fps but I like my markers to be a little more consistant. With the replacement of the stock hpr to a CP hpr I now have my FSV7 shooting + or - 2 fps from shot to shot at 30 bps. Nice things about the FSV7 is the minimal amount of moving parts makes for far less recoil than a timmy.

Go out grab someone at your local field and see if they will let you shoot it. The FSV7 has come a long ways from the 04 FS you had.

lol...

sp- i think you missed my point. i suggested you lift weights because i know what you do for a living. the dodgy on the end of my second statement means its probably slightly perverted ;)

i'll take you up on that though...if only i could find a FS around here. the first and last one i saw was mine :|

CC, you misunderstood me as well. I was being a smartarse as well.

But you seriously should check out the V7 if at all possible. If you love your Timmy you will throw it away for a V7.

Here is the best way I can describe the V7 for you without touching it.

It has more speed than a Timmy and less recoil than a DM??/Proto Matrix!!!

That should give you a little idea as to why I say to check it out. Hell you know how much I loved my FS's. I didnt change until I got a hell of a deal on them at the Denver Nppl event. It wasnt until I shot them up there and Hawk made me a special deal to a take a few of them home that I decided to upgrade.

Once I got home with them I decided to get rid of my original FS's and go to all V7's. I am presently thinking about selling my B2K5 to get another V7. Here you guys go, 1 in 7, no gurantee I will sale it though.

Jupez, send a email to specials@shootpaint.com or pm me and I will give you a price you wont believe. I am sorry but this is one of those cases where the price is so low I cant post it!!!
