ok, i know everybody to post a thread on the barrels forum has asked this, but what do you think is the best barrel?
now before voting and deciding, usderstand why im wasting your time with a new thread and not just looking at others.
first im getting a barrel for my diablo wrath. ive found (be it my experience or others) that in some instances, the gun decides on how well the barrel will preform.
second, i play back, i dont know if this has any affect on a barrel but just in case ill add that in. also
so far im looking at a freak/freak jr. dye boomstick, or jj ceramic.
if you have another option, please tell me what and y.
i dont want to go over 14 inches, or under for that matter. if you have a reason to go over or under, please tell me.
thanks.

I got a CP today and it was very quiet accurate and light today when I tested it you can pick a two peice in your choice of length and bore size for 60$ on actionvillage so you can match your paint

Look at a CP 1 piece. They are good looking, high quaity barrels that that compete with kits.

I'm quite partial to Proto one pieces or two pieces, another member who has that and a Cp said performance was the same but the Proto is lighter.

I use an Empire 7-piece kit right now. It's very light, comes with a nice case, has six backs and one front tip so the whole barrel overall is 14".
I've shot ropes with this barrel kit on my timmy. And the only problem I had was this past weekend because paint was breaking in my barrel like every six or seven shots. But when the paint decides to stay together, and not blow apart, this kit is really nice.
I'm not going to say it's the best because there are several nice barrels out there but this is probably one of the better ones.

The Stiffi is probably the best barrel on the market. However, it is EXPENSIVE.

i'd go with a longbow the only downside is it is expensive

CP one peice or some high end barrel kit. i despise 2 peice barrels. there's just so much more that can go wrong with them due to their more complex construction. QC is a huge factor in selecting a two peice/barrel kit. a two peice barrel is esentualy two one peice barrels of varing bores joined together to form one barrel. due to it's design the room for acuracy killing errors sky rockets compared to a one peice. if any the two peices are slightly misalligned AT THE JOINT the accuracy of the barrel will be downright awful. i've seen too many people get burned on two peice barrels over the years.
if you're going to buy a barrel either do a barrel test or buy from a company with a good QC rep. i'd stay away from SP freak kit and the evil pipe. i have pipe on my pimp and even though it is an accurate barrel the tip is dust annoed on the inside. that's a benchmark of bad QC. go with a dye, CP, proto or anyother highly rated barrel. still, if you can, test to see if the barrel is straight. the best way to determine this on a two peice is to hold the barrel up to a light source and look down the tip of the barrel. a two piece is constructed out of two different bore sizes with the tip being the larger of the two bores and the back being the smaller. when you look down the barrel you should see a "ring". this ring is the exposed portion of the smaller bore back rising above the larger bore tip. the test is to make sure it is uniformly round. look for a distinctive ring to determine if the two pieces are joined properly. if they are not you will see a crescent shaped ring indicating that the barrels are misaligned.
