OK, I'm gonna be getting a delrin bolt here someday, but i need to wait till i get some extra cash. I was thinking about cutting off the back of the bolt to that first raised ring part. I'm thinking that this would make it light enough so that the gun would cycle faster. Plus, the bolt wouldn't be sticking out of the back of the gun. This might be a stupid idea, but im just wondering. tell me what you guys think about it.

well, to tell you the truth, Ive been thinking about that too. I think it would work, and be nice, just Im not willing to try itwith my only bolt. If it works ok with yours, I might though.

I wouldn't do that if I were you, and here's why!
Wolvy did a test just a month ago in which he deterimed that "the weight" of a bolt played a factor into the hammer and it's "hit" on the value which allows gas to pass thru the marker, if you guys have got vvf's on your markers the stock bolt faired high in these test due to that extra weight.
Besides if you lads were ever to loose your intelligents (Lord forbid) and wanted to sell your Imps, an unbutchered stock bolt would be plus in the eyes of a buyer!
