It wouldn't be noobish, heck, some renters will think your're a pro or sponsored. There's nothing wrong with wearing clothes that were made for the sport.

Yeah, I feel kinda newbish wearing my c4 stuff with my wrath... but my whole team wears the same stuff so whatever. I'd just get the pants and the pack if i were you because when you get on a team you'll probably want a different jersey, unless you start up one with your friends. Pants are definitely a nice thing to have.

Don't even remind me. I saw a guy with an Airtime jersey and JT pants and I said, "Dude! I wanna be on his team! He's sponsored!" That was my 2nd game of paintball.

No...in fact, equipment doesn't always = noob. And other times it does. I've seen guys show up with brand new Angel Gats, brand new clothes, gear, Empire B's, uncovered ( ) fiber wrapped tanks. And they sucked. Bad. Really bad. I've also seen guys with low end electros and no gear dominate the field.
You won't look like a noob...well, you will if you suck after the first two games ;)

Who cares what people think of you, how you play is more important... Myself I would hold off on the jersey and just wear a tshirt of your choice, long or short - Jersey's serve no purpose in rec ball

Just get some nice pants, and save the rest of your money for a new gun.

the reason why i asked this is my buddy has an trilogy autococker (the blue one) and he got a full dye jersey and was a NOOB. He sucked realy bad. and a bunch of people called him a noob. and i didnt want that to happen to me.

I've got paintball-brand gear from head to toe and i've never even played in a tourney (although i've tried, twice). I actually feel UNcomfortable playing in non-paintball gear.

Its WAY more noobish to walk on to the field with a ****** gun with crazy awsome gear, be cocky and command everyone, and suck.

I'd say buy an Ion, but no your set up wouldn't be noobish. Now if you had a Tippmann...
Oh and tell me how your Halo B fares with your spyder. I know some spyder detents have problems with Halo's loading with too much force. Not all, but some.

you should hold off on the jersey, they arent very important unless you play on a team. But, that isn't very noobish at all. when i go play, i wear some dye hybrids, proflex, nxe harness, and a long sleeve tshirt, and i shoot an imagine. your skill won't get judged until people see you playing.

So long as you're open to other peoples constructive input, no one will have a problem with you.. Most people are usually more than happy to help teach a person to play better
Didn't read the whole thread yet, but:
Don't get a jersey.
Longsleeve ftw!
For example, here is a pic of our team longsleeves.
They are only $10 each (for us) after printing, so if one gets torn up playing our hearts out... who cares?

OH, and about the Halo... you're double-feed out the wazoo if you don't have double detents.

Don't buy one right away, but I got an Empire jersey for cheap. It was on closeout and it was an 05.

Forget the jersey FTW.

yeah like everyone said about the other gear
and If you want a jersey, just to keep from ruining my your other shirts, find one for no more than $25 on close out adn just wear it (thats what I do) because it really will cost you a bit more on cheap t-shirts if you rip them all the time
