Silencers are illegal for paintball markers or any gun. So do not even try to get a silencer.

If it is just a quiet barrel u are looking for get a Whisper or Quiet Riot barrel from 32 degrees. The whisper is super quiet and really accurate.

Silencers are not illegal. However, if you want one, you would need to A) Make one, or have it custom ordered, and B) Obtain a permit from your state.

Ok, I've looked this up before, and they are illegal, and they are not illegal. It depends on how you do it, and the location. Almost every place will allow you to buy/make/have a silencer provided that it cannot be used on a firearm. Since a paintball marker is not classified as a firearm, that would be ok. However, you can't make it a slip over device, because that could be used on a firearm. You're best bet is to permanently attach it to a barrel. Again, you should ask your local law enforcement for more specific requirements in your area before starting.

The ATF has a REAL BIG problem with silencers. Anything used to silence firearms and paintball guns that is made of hard materials is illegal, therefore any silencer you use/made would have to be like foam or cardboard. Go with a quiet barrel, NOT a silencer!

As long as you call your silencer a 'barrel extension' then you are fine. Also ported barrels are generally quiter. and EquationUsa.com makes silencer muzzles for their barrels.

my cusin has a homemade silencer that is light hand adds like 12 inches to his barrel. its made out of plumming pipe. there is a site full of directions on how to make homemade modifications to you gun but i forget...:P

type "homemade paintball mods" in a search box like yahoo or something...

What would be the point of a silencer in paintball? I rather have a gun that sounds like a cannon. Scare the hell out of people.:D

i just finished making my silencer..........i dont know if i can tell u how to make one because i don't want to get arrested :D

i took a 20oz pepsi bottle and cut the bottom out, ported it and taped it to my talon and it was pretty loud! i thought up a way to make it into a sound reduction device though... just gotta get the stuff to do it

Our paintball team has an extra tippmann model 98, and we made it fully auto and we cut the stock barrel so it is really loud!!!! We bring it in the picnic area, the chrono station etc. and dry fire........hehe you should see the newbies jump.......lol :D
