I was wondering if anyone here knows, through experience, how many shots you can get off a 20 oz tank and a 12oz tank when using the following:
1) a-5 w/ E-grip
2) a-5 w/ RT
3) 98c w/ RT and Cyclone hopper
I, as well as some others, am kinda foggy on the subject and it's drivin me crazy!
thanks

No matter what trigger set up you have the shot count will be some what the same. The gun and efficiency of the marker will change it though. The Tippmann line up isn't known for stock efficiency. From a 20 oz bottle, you should get around 1000 shots from Tippmanns. With an Angel, although you would never use Co2 with an Angel, they would get around 1300 to 1500 shots because they are so high end and gas efficient. With a 12 oz tank, with Tippmanns, you would get around 600 shots. Doing mods and making it low pressure to run a regulator off of it will increase the shots per fill dramatically. The regulator would allow you to find the right operating pressure to get the most shots per fill. Shooting at different speeds will also affect the shots per fill. Shooting fast will get less shots, while slower speeds will get more. Fast speeds make it so the bottle is always releasing air to keep shooting the balls at a consistent enough speed and fps, also using excess air, which you need to use for more shots. The opposite goes for slower speeds. At slower speeds, the air bottle and gun have time to release just enough air to not waist anymore. Shooting at 1 bps, will get about 50 or more shots than shooting at 13 bps all the time.

Let me make myself a bit more clear...
I am not asking how much air a 20oz or a 12oz holds, I am asking how many shots you can get out of each tank with the three setups listed above. I other words: Will a RT use more air than a normal trigger? AND/OR Will adding a cyclone to a 98c use more air?
I am asking because theoretically it is supposed to use only blowback(excess) air. But i have heard people say it does actually use more air. Help me clear this myth if you know the answer.
I am mainly asking those who have used all or one of these setups. however, i you haven't but know anyway, by all means, inform me.
And I already have searched long, far, high, and low for these answers; That's why I'am asking here.
Thanks

An RT will use a bit more gas, and with the cyclone it should use the same amount. Thats all I know.

The only one I can answer is #1.
20oz: 600-800 shots depending on temp.
12oz: 400-600 shots depending on temp.

RT and Cyclone with both increase gas consumption. Said increase will be small at best, nothing that a field with all day air, or an extra tank can't fix.
