I recently lost the velocity screw for the 98c after i put it back together. I dont know where to buy a new one? I'm going to Lowes in the morning hoping its there. If its not are there any ideas other than ordering a new one off the internet im not a big fan getting stuff off of it, plz help.

These are the dimensions for the stock screw per the Ultimate Sticky:
5/16"-24 x 1/2" Length Setscrew, Cup Point, Black Oxide Finish Or 18-8 S.S., Use 5/32 Hex Key You could probably get away with a normal screw if you got it long enough that the head portion wouldn't conflict with the marker.
I believe that according to the 98C manual you're supposed to screw the velocity screw all the way in prior to disassembling the marker. In the future I would strongly advise you to disassemble your marker in such a way that you don't lose things, i.e. on a towel or tray, preferably one that is a light color. A paper plate or bowl can go a long way towards keeping small parts nearby as well.
If there is no dedicated paintball store nearby you are going to have to get over your internet inhibitions. I would advise you to order at least a parts kit; I believe that countypaintball.com sells complete GTA parts kits for $40, that will have every part you could possibly EVER need to replace short of a valve and powertube.

head over to your local hardware store and look for allen headed plugs. they come in various lengths, you can always cut it down. you're looking at ~$0.50

ill go out on a limb and say its safer :P he wont be shooting as far since all the air is leaking out the side, instead of towards the front bolt.

Or you could write down the dimensions I posted and go buy the screws without needing the marker.

if all else fails you can get one from countypaintball.com for a dollar that is a very trustworthy site. i lost mine, i found it about 2 months later. i shot my friend without it and he said it felt like i hit him constantly with a hammer for about 20 seconds so my guess is its not as safe... i dont have to worry about losing it anymore because i got a full boar products shadow.

with the shadow, you still need to have the velocity screw in the gun no matter what. you can adjust velocity with the shadow, just leave the one in the powertube in tact.

No problem. They should give you some unless their customer service has changed.
