I dunno guys, so far, my freak has yet to shoot that great, i don't know if my tip is misaligned or what, but i was just shooting some adrenalineball (which has an awsome rep) and my balls were curving everywhere, i was using the .689 sleeve, some of the balls fit, some didn't.

[Posted earlier, elsewhere] If you guys would be so kind as to look down the tip bore end of the barrel with a mid insert (.689) and see if it looks like the insert is sorta not inline with the front tip. That's what mine looks like, and my accuracy was pretty bad this weekend (more later) so i was wondering if that could be my problem.

Secound thing, paint sizing. How loose or tight do you guys like your paint in the inserts? I was fooling around with adreniline ball, and it seemed like i had to bounce around from the .687, to the .684 alot and some seemed to tight for the .689. Think that's lopsided paint? What should i do then?

Any ideas? Poor stupid me. Wasted 200 on a freak, and my 40 dollar CP shoots better. I'll try my friends AA tip, make sure it's not just my tip.

Innacurate freak eh... that's what happens when you put it on a bushmaster :P

Seriously though, that said, something is mucho wrong with your barrel. When I look down the tip, it isn't perfect perfect perfect in terms of lining up, but the amount it is off is absolutely minute. My accuracy however, has been impressive to other people (I mention the other people since my opinion doesn't count really, I could be shooting a 30 foot spread at a range of 50 feet and still say my timmy was great :) ) so the little bit that the barrel doesn't line up should not matter. I also use a teardrop front, so the front doesn't really matter (the extra porting on the AA is offset by the extra accuracy fairies in the Teardrop). I'm sure you've tried different paints, so it must be your barrel. Call up the boys at smart parts, tell em about your freak, and if you get a chance leave this message for the Gardners from me

"elTwitcho is very angry that his spiral porting hasn't added any range to his marker. He's wondering if he can have some RASE Chigos, preferably in Blue/Black as compensation. A 32 waist would be just perfect, thanks"

Appreciate it man, thanks :eyes:

Bah, i think it's the paint now. I'll go grab myself some Infernos, if that don't shoot well, not only am i making smartparts send you the chigos, but i think i'd take a replacment freak in the form of a freak factory. Thanks for the input.

Oh and as for sizing your paint, I've found that if you go too tight, you start to really lose accuracy and you can even see the consistency go downhill at the chrono. You should be able to blow a paintball through it with a little bit of effort. If you've gotta turn purple getting the ball to start moving, I find your accuracy will be bad. Even though once the ball gets moving, it seems like you can blow it farther than with a looser insert, I just find this to be way too tight for good accuracy

Gotcha, but it still doesn't seem to help when you need to jump from the .684, to the .689 for the same batch. I find that if you push the paint like an inch in, it blows out sooo much easier. Should i try and size from the front of the breach, or one inch in? Seems like the very tip would be more be a better judge for the paint.

Heh, the whole freaking barrel was bad, front and back. Shoots like a dream now, and only cost me 10 bucks for a blue AA tip, thanks for all the help.

I know mine is real tempermental with polar ice. Other than that its pretty good. I've run the .689, .691, and .693 with polar. All of it seems to wing a bit. Other than that i've run everything from BE to marby w/ no probs.

When in doubt... go up one size. It's better to have the bore too big. You'll lose accuracy either way, but if the bore is too small, you'll be breaking a ton of paint in the barrel.
