basically just listen and think carefully....think about the next move you will make before you make it.

try to learn the area as much as possible in the daylight- it'll save you from tripping and stuff in the dark, and you'll have a better idea of where the other guys are likely to be.

keep your eyes away from any light for approx 15minutes to let your eyes adjust to the dark and then dont look toward any light

keep the moon at your back, it helps with your vision, and it helps comceal you from other people who are looking at you.(shadows) and move very slowly. staw low. be sure of every move you make. keep your ears and eyes open at all times. night is a good time to move, but it does have some drawbacks. the pros are that alot of people are asleep, and you can gain alot of ground and surrender people. the cons are: you can have advanced right into the middle of mainstreet, enemytown. seeing the enemy wake up all around you is one f'n scary sight!!! and if you get lost at night, it's not very fun either. also, if you run into the enemy, you can be screwed. it's best to travel in a group of like 3 to 5. any more, ther'll be too much noise. the group is to have more firepower in case of trouble. stay in single file so you know where everyone is. if you find somone, send two flankers each way. that was used in veitnam by the seals. good luck.

This is a little late. Anyway the best tactic would be to find the darkest part of the field and stay in the shadows. I'd say where all black ,but thats my opinion.

I actually built a Landwarrior like system, that utilized a IR camera and IR Illuminator that ran to a small handheld TV that I attached to the back of my hopper, I mounted the cemera on the CAR Foregrips' upper rail I hooked onto my tippmann... It works like a charm, and if you really wanted to you could attach a IR laser sight...

I haven't play a night game before. One of my friends has a corn field behind his house so we can play with no light without running into anything. The good thing is I already own a Night Vision monocular ,but i think your idea is cool.

when we play we usualy have christmas lights strung up in the trees, makes sufficient lighting and the field is really small
ive always wanted to play with a strobe light
i think that would be really cool

Universal: As previously mentioned, itsw best to not look at anything bright since you'll be able to see better in the light. If they dont mind, bring flash bulb like things. Friend had one rigged up at where he worked, great for blinding other guys for about 10 seconds. (get to a dark place, wait for eyes to adjust to dark, then flash a light for not even a second and see what I mean by blind for 10 seconds)

Defense of position: If its a fort you've got to protect, bring lots of flashlight, preferabley ones hat just flood the area with light so you can set it up so you can see way out farther uch better, and if placed well, cna be misleading as to where you are, and make it more difacult for anyone to see your guys.

Offense: Don't get seen/heard and above all else, snipe from the shadows if possible, keep eyes adjusted to the dark, and throwing diversionary rocks and such dont hurt.

I'm a mediocre player, thats the best I can think of now.

if you're moving from a dark spot through light to more dark, try keeping one eye closed while in the light. Then open it when you're back in the dark. Your nightvision won't be totally shot. Also, look for the gleam from goggles

well...... when I play night games in woodsy areas, especially large area's, cause that's where it's most fun...... I seem to get mostly 'nade kills. NADE NADE NADE! get lots of grenades...... because if you go around shooting in a night game then the enemy will hear your shots and locate you, but if you nade, then you eliminate possible targets without sacraficing your location. If anyone needs to find out how to make a grenade or how to refill a used Tippmann nade, feel free to IM me and I'd be happy to tell you... my SN is:

try to shoot by sound, as opposed to relying mainly on sight..... if you see a dark figure in range, start to fire in the general direction, and then if you hear them running in one direction then just spray your butt off ( or his ), and hopefully you will have marked that sucker.

if they're moderately close and a newbie, you could shout "surrender" and maybe get 'em that way. of course, there is always the chance that someone else will be nearby and hear you, and start shooting.
