...............a trikked out BE Talon would not even compair to a Spyder Compact 2000 with nothing on it.

uhhh a spyder compact is not a high end marker . . .

it would depend on the situation, but it is possible. the markers are not the ones that compete, it is the players. and a player with tricked spyder can potentionally (if good) take out any other player on the field no matter what they are shooting and how much it cost, you cannot buy skill with a high end marker.

Is it cheaper to buy a high end instead of tricking out a low end?

well eventually after you have completely decked out the low end, you will realize that its still not a high end marker and never will be. so you will try to sell it only to find that you wont get more than $300 . . . so you will save money by skipping the whole tricking out your blowback stage and just saving to get a high/mid range gun . . .

Venom, you have some good points, but I have seen Tricked 98's keep up with hi end markers, speed is the only real advantage I would give an electro.

ya they can keep up, but they will not operate as smooth and as efficiently as many high end markers. they also just dont feel and balance as nice to me (personal preference) but if you like your tippman and its workin good, keep it, and kick some cocker/angel butt! ;) im just saying most people at some point in time will want to move up from their blowbacks.

and thanks for the compliments guys :) . . . makes me feel warm and fuzzy, hehe.

You are right Venom, its personal preference thing. I respect the Hi End markers, I know they are all sweet and one day I plan on adding a Angel to my collection, but I will never sell my good ol Tippy, nothing beats an original.
