Long post bear with me :)

Well Today I was playing with my team and some friends and noticed the Velocity seemed a bit low... So I tried to Take out the cocking rod and adjust to velocity.. To say the least that Mother F-ker was in there pretty tight. Grabbed some vice grips to try in loosen it and instead the end cap screws off (Right about now.. im getting pissed :) So after several attemps at vicegripping the cocking rod with out the knob to just have the grips slip off i decide to use a very strong industrial str. glue to glue the knob back onto the cocking rod. Well this proves successful as to get it back out and needless to say It stripped the heck out of Whatever the name of the part it is that it screws into. Because of this ordeal Im going to have to get a new Cocking rod and whatever is needed inside that it screws into (Striker?) not sure of the name of the part of course- because I can no longer adjust my velocity (The allen wrench does not grip to turn it). But anyhow i dont know how to take out that part (all i could get when goofing around with it was some brass screw and a spring.)

So Im going to order the new parts for the gun and take it to a shop and have them install everything well but the cocking rod, since im going to have them do that and time it I figured now would be a good time to get the upgrades I wanted and Get what i need to make the gun low pressure and have the shop guys just do it all in one visit. Since i know making the gun low pressure has something to do with the internals of the gun and regulators I want suggestions as to what all I can put on my gun to increase performance and looks :)

Also im gonna get a Centerflag 88/3000 and im wondering if its necessary to have a second regulator (if it would do any benefit) if not ill just find a comfortable gas thru grip.. Want something that looks, works and feels good Since i dont want to hold my gun my the pnuems :)

I just bought a 2001,,I feel your pain. Well,,you can look at your manual that came with it. Its not too good but you can see the insides. Not sure what that parts called either. Make since to be the striker. Is the tank you are getting preset or adjustable. If it is adjustable you dont HAVE to have a sec reg, but might be a good idea. If you want a foregrip,,might as well get a reg. And if it is preset, Id def. get a reg, cause it would jump from like 800psi, to the front reg down to like 100 psi or somthing...hope this helps some.

My wife bought me a 2000 Cocker for Christmas. Bought an adjustable compressed air tank, and a Palmer Stabalizer. Works pretty good with this setup, besides you can make adjustments on the Stabalizer to change the velocity. If this isn't an option for you, I have seen something called a clicker on PaintballGear.com. It mounts in with the cocking rod, but allows you to adjust it without pulling the cocking rod out.
