is it the gun that gets broken in or the tank? and how do u no if it breaks in? what does it even mean? what does all of that mean??

Both. The gun and tank both need to get broken in. They both need to be shots many times to be fully broken in. The guns usually take 10000 shots or so. The tanks usually take 3000 shots to be broken in.

Breaking in is a robber's termes of stealking. Just kidding. Breaking in(guns, tanks, regs) means that they are getting used and after a while, they are at their peak of performane. At first a gun may be 10+/- fps, after it is broken in it will have around 3+/- fps, and as time goes on, it may get better. A regulator will function the same way. IT will start has a larger fps consistency, but as time goes on, it will get much better.

Anyways, you'll need to break both in, really. Its mostly the regs that need to be broken in. If you don't already know these things though, I don't reccomened you buy a DM as your next step from an Electra...

To try and make it clearer, it's kind of like a baseball glove. When you first buy the glove, it's all stiff, and hard to close. After you use it for a month, it gets broken in, and is easier to close.
