I know I'm probably gonna get alot of crap for asking this but does anyone know where to buy pepper spray filled paintballs (pepperballs) or rubber paintballs? I swear its not for anything bad, I just live in a bad neighborhood (and I dont believe in guns, real ones anyway) and want them for home protection, not for shooting random people, I know paintball already has a bad enough rap as it is. I was also thinking rubber paintballs would be kinda cool as reusable target ammo...any way let me know....

Well, I'm pretty sure you have to be law enforcement or military to get the pepperballs. If you happen to know anyone who fits that description and will buy them for you, you can get them here:

That's so F'ing funny ... they sell JT speed pods, Viewloader hoppers and CO2 tanks ... probably for WAY more than they're worth.

the pepperball gun is just a tippman pro-carbine, and they sell it for like $500 to the department.

thats retarded.....why the hell would they want to use one of those??? they should be useing something real low pressure like an impulse or a shocker....that would be a real pain in the *** to break a pepper ball in your gun.....their web site even says that no other guns should be used with their product....what a scam, if I was a cop I'd get a real paintball gun......

Actually there's a field near where I live that is called like Ultimate Ball or something where they only allow and sell those rubber paintballs. I've never tried it sounds like it would break a mask or somethin.

Those are rubber and the police don't have a 300fps limit. The Tippmanns are cheap...shockers are expensive.
Look at the videos...those ProCarbs must have fully automatic capability...
While watching the videos I was hoping to see a nasty ball chop...ow well...

They shoot 300fps and those guys dont have masks on!

Actually 350-380.
But that's ALOT better than resorting to beanbags that can kill if used closer than 15 feet and A HELL OF A LOT better than resorting to leatal force.
For training...yeah, they do use masks. The videos didn't...I agree...that's unsafe.

I don't know why you guys are *****ing that the video didn't have people wearing masks. How many times have you seen a video of a riot where everyone says "Oh, the police are hear, everyone put on your protective masks to save your eyes."
True, it's not safe but if the police are forced to come in, it's better to blind someone than kill them. Also, you could just shoot at the legs and ground. They don't just pop their heads out of little bunkers. Anyway, safety is their primary concern, and the quickest way to get everyone safe is disperse the crowd and suppress the trouble makers left over.

How would you like to be blinded in a training video? I wouldn't. For just training, I think they should have worn masks.

People they will use pepperballs on wont be wearing masks.
It's risky sure.
But then again it beats using the MP5.

Rest assured that, if anything, our government won't stand to have a po-po get covered with their own pepper spray ;)

Those carbines must have automatic, because I heard that tippman's can't shoot more than 11bps, so it would make sense.

if they cant shoot more then 11 bps then how could they shoot faster on fully automatic?
tippmanns can shoot shoot pretty fast. like when you do the sear thing, so it cant go back it goes fast. Also not that many people could pull 11+bps on a mech marker without some sort of trigger return system (response trigger)
Just in case anybody was wondering when police train they use regular paintballs. Not the pepper balls. Yes they do wear masks, and use tippmanns.
My dads in corrections, so im quite sure of all this.

Now you're thinking too much :D
I said that tippmans can only shoot 11bps, so If they modified the sear to stay closed as long as the trigger was closed, then they could achieve those high rates of fire in the videos. :eyes:

I think the place closed down but I remember seeing a commercial and a few adds for it where they were advertising that the balls are rubber for no messy paint to clean up. And I remember them doing a close up on the solid black balls.

If anyone has seen the RATM dvd when they play at the democratic convention the cops use 98s I think to open up on the crowd.

and that mod doesnt allow the sear to catch the hammer so as long as it is down, or the trigger is being pulled, the marker will keep cycling trying to catch the sear, but because it cant it becomes an automatic marker.
no im not saying they did that but that is a way that turns ur tippy into a blender, because it fires fast.
people can outshoot revy's and riko's with the response trigger, and those loaders feed and 11-13 bps so if they can out shoot them them they are firing faster then 11bps.
and again most people cant pull 11 times a second on a mech trigger.
