I have a M98 custom and I want to run HPA instead of CO2. Do I NEED the low pressure kit to do this?? Or can I just use HPA with the stock setup?
What is the benefit to the LP kit? I have tried to figure this out on my own, but it just ain't happening.
I would appreciate your input.

The Model 98 (without the LP kit) runs best around 800psi. Therefore, a Nitrogen tank with a preset output pressure of 800psi will work just great for you.
I recommend the Crossfire 68/3000. It's a great tank with a super fast recharge rate. You don't need to do anything else to your gun. Just screw in this tank and you're good to go. The consistency with nitrogen is so much better than CO2, you'll never want to go back.

nitro will work on the m98 but will be better with the low pressure kit. Also if you are not prepared to dish out the 120 for the whole lp kit u can get just the modified vertical adapter and just the low pressure chamber for 40 dollars at www.countypaintball.com. Regardless nitro is better than co2

not to be hippocritical but you just said your a newbie why would you want to go out and spend all the extra dough on a hpa tank when you hardly have any field time if i were you i would concentrate more on the game and your skills before i went out and bought a hpa tank just get a anti-siphon installed on your co2 tank it will be more than fine for your needs......mike
