Depends what you are looking for. I like my rebel LE and the stock barrel is the only bad thing about it. It has all the neccissary upgrades, but the sightrail is hard to use. One of the pretties guns I've seen. But if you wanna upgrade get the 98. Has the most upgrades availabe, and is the most popular. I would reccomend the LE though, my friend with the tippmann is jeleous. I don't know a lot about the tl+

Wrong. I'd have to say that the Spyder has the most upgrades available. Here's a list of many upgrades for Spyders.
1. Huge selection of bolts
2. Electronic trigger frames
3. Drop forwards made specifically for Spyders (not necessarily a good thing, why couldn't Kingman just freakin' use inline holes?!)
4. A number of rear cocking kits
5. Two or three side cocking slot covers
6. Aftermarket trigger frames
7. Barrels
8. Air assist kits
9. Valves
10. Valve pins
11. Cup seals
12. Vertical adapters
13. Springs
14. Low pressure chambers.
15. Expansion chambers
16. Regulators
17. Gas through forgrips
18. Hoses
19. Bottemline converters
20. Vertical feed bodies
21. Straight feed conversion
22. Striker (so far I only know of the Centerflag striker that they made for blowbacks, so that the striker doesn't get too easily worn when combined with the Hyperframe's speed)
23. Field strip screws
24. Velocity thumb adjuster
Lots of those upgrades aren't Spyder specific, but they are upgrades in which you can choose from. Hopefully somebody can come up with a list of upgrades for the Model 98 as well, so that we can compare.

Well I would have to argue with you, for the rebel is a spyder clone, and it has a lot of the upgrades already. For ecample it has of what you listed:
Sight rail
Rear cocking bolt(no need for the upgrades on that part)
A double trigger with a very nice frame
Uses spyder thread barrels
Vertical Power Feed
Low pressure chamber
expantion chamber
Bottom line setup
(Hoses go on all markers)
Feild strip pin
RVA thumb adjustter
so you dont realy need to upgrade, except the barrel. And 32 degreese makes other upgrades, like 6 stage expantion chamber, and some others. Now I might be wrong, the TL+ or Tippmann might be better, but I like the Rebel LE more than those two. Hope It helped
