You wouldn't necessarialy chop, but if your Velocity is very high and your paint is brittle then yes it could lead to more breaks. How high are you talking?

it was probably the wild streak. Try it with some higher quality paint.

And only idiots screw in the velocity all the way chances are your shooting hot, in addition to being able to break finger bones over 300fps, it will corkscrew like mad, and yes wild streak are VERY VERY bad.

Take your marker to a proshop and ask them to chrono it for you. Playing with an marker that has never been chronographed is unsafe and idiotic.

All you need to do is walk into a proshop and say, "Hey, can you please chrono my marker because I don't play at a field."
Every proshop that I have ever been too is more then happy to chrono a marker to ensure the safety of their customers. You don't have to go out and buy your own unless you want too.

i hope you are only talking about an outlaw ball field at a friends house or something. Any field that is open to the public should be closed if they don't even have a chrono.
And if it is a friends field, you and your friends should just put your cash together and buy a handheld one. Because one of these days, one of you will end up getting shot by a marker shooting well over 300fps in a spot that is either sensetive or unprotected, and it won't be pretty at all.

Over 300fps and finger bones, and a chance of getting them broken=teh suck.

Yeah just have it chrono'd to 280fps. Read the stickies about barrels and paint, as in matching.... that will answer you chopping and accuracy questions ;)
