Durability / Weather

I am thinking about buying a Timmi or a GenX-3 cocker.

I've never owned an electro.

My main concern is durability. I've heard that Timmis shut down when wet. I play in the snow sometimes and don't want to have the darned thing give up on me.

Does this happen? Are all electros like that?
