Depending on the people you play with an Angel might be over kill.
I play woods ball with two different groups. One group is all about high end guns. Everyone has $$ amd owns an electro or expensive cocker. I'm talking Free Flow Race Guns, F5's, Dark Angels, Shockers, etc. With them I usually use my Adrenalin LED.
Another group I play with is mostly Tippmans and Spyders, with an occasional BM2K. I NEVER use the Angel when I am with them. I stick with my stock Impulse (ok so it's not stock but they don't know) and blend in.
With the price of LCD's dropping with the introduction of the IR3, that deal is good, but not great.

its probably a 99 LED, because i dont think they made LEDs in 2000 (someone correct me if im wrong) and i really dont think its all that great of deal, but i dont know what it looks like or whats on it. if it is a stock black one, i would say $750 is the absolute most i would pay for it. i would probably say $700 is more reasonable. if you just play rec ball for fun i would just keep the mag, but if you are really serious about paintball or are looking to get into tournaments, go for it.
and if you sold everything with your gun, i would say you could probably get about $400 for it . . .

the people i play with range from having, shockers to spyders to tippmans to angels. I play prob three times a month yea, 2 or 3 and im in the occasional tournament ammetuer. the ones u can just sign up for.
what do u think about the shocker? id want a turbo with gadget grip, vertical feed, 68/4500 max flow gree. are they any good?? ive shot an S/f and i thought that was great. Do u think 750 is too much? he wont go any lower. thanks

for woods ball, i would definately go shocker. an angel is a big investment and u gotta really be committed to the game in my opinion, im talkin hardcore tourney player. however on the other hand, for woods ball a shocker is definately more reasonable. it comes with that 16 inch stock barrel which is great for longballing in the woods, and its overall a good gun, quiet accurate fast everything. definately fast enuff for woodsball. anyway i would say go shocker, but if ure lookin to come to the darkside and become a tourney player like most committed players do, then go for the angel cause in the long run its a better deal for that level of play. im not sayin one is better then the other, but for woodsball i would go shocker , for tourney ball i would go angel for sure. i plan on getting my angel this summer 2k2 red CnC lcd on the way! i dont tust the ir3 or at least till i see them perform.

what ever happened to the old days of playing with pump guns and semis in the woods....
i say any angel is good, but for that price... that's just too much, cuz for 750, you can buy a brand new basic impulse w/o eye, but with the brand new max flo 4500, for about that much. that tank, which is used is worth about $80-100, while the led, is going down in price cuz the ir3 is out. also unless its been refurbished, meaning all internals has been replaced, its not worth it for $750. the price of that led should be $400-600, also scratches on an angel really devalues the price.

an angel can be semi...
I hate people calling markers pumps and semis, in one class, and electros in another.
I shoot matrix... soon to have angel... my matrix is semi-automatic.
it just so happens I can, personally, pull off about 14bps through it.
its still a semi.

The Shocker is a good gun, but it is different from the Angel. Different feel, different performance, etc. Turbo is not allowed in some places (tournies) so be careful.
I have thought about this LED some more and would pass on the deal. The LED Is now getting very old...parts are going to start to become an issue. Plus service will cost you. WDP will still service an LCD for free at big events but as I understand things has started to charge for LED's.

IMO if you are looking at that level of electro, take a look at the Impulse, it weighs more, but is less complicated, performs just as well or better when comparing stock to stock. Plus has the option for an anti-chop eye system (Vision).

I think you'll like the shocker for woods-play. I own both and I play the shocker in woods play hands down. It's just that I don't play to much in the woods any more (I don't like our local wooded field) compared to concept fields so thats why I bought my angel. My Shocker f-ing rocks out in the bush though and I only have an 14" AA.
