View Full Version : Stolen Matrix off PBN, Look out for it in West Virginia
SKI008

The deal was I send my matrix and he sends his timmy then I send cash upon arrival of his gun. We were goiung to ship the same day, but he didn't, giving me some excuse about "overtime at work". Well ok, things like that happen. I tell him to ship it the next day. He says he does, but won't give me a tracking number or any verification that he sent it and he ignores all my pms about it. Meanwhile my gun makes it to his house and he sends me a pm saying he has it. I ask again for the tracking number to his gun. He gives me some BS about "sending it after work". Now I figure the gun will be here the next day because UPS is almost always on time. No gun. I figure that it may have gotten delayed. I wait another week, still no gun. When I ask him for the tracking number, this time he says, "UPS says it was delivered..." Since that message last week, he hasn't been cooperative at all, though he still remains in contact STILL giving me BS about how he'll call UPS or send a tracking number. It's been 3 weeks since the gun should be here. I think it's safe to say I've been scammed. Watch out for him, his info is:
Steve Hand
Aim: Rollin Khutis
email: stevenhand@charter.net
I also have his address and stuff but you're not supposed to post that I guess. The thread is in my sig. My gun is a black Generation E matrix with a red barrel, Bob Long torp, Cp trigger, and a ccm no pro.
By the way, if anyone lives in West Virginia (supposedly where this scammer lives) and can help me get my gun back I'd appreciate and I may be able to give a small reward. Watch out for him. Currently he was trying to sell a Shocktech Shocker that he "won in a tournament" (I'll link to that thread when the search comes back) and has expressed interest in some other matrices. The gun he was going to trade was a blue to black fade Empire timmy with all this stuff:
blue/black fade
hybrid and stock eye covers
shocktech supafly bolt
frenzy 127.4 with ramp and full auto
contract killer grips
critical trigger
cp shorty w/ gauge port reg
critical rail
hybrid grind on/off
stock adj. ram cap
bumperless ram
bob long gauge
a bomb LPR
.690 boomy and silver tip.

Contact his local police station and have him convicted of mail fraud.

Since you live in CA and he lives WV you are not going to have an easy time of it. The first thing I would do is to take all the information you have and go to your local police department and file a report. That should get things started. They will probably contact the police department in the city where he lives if he give you a correct address. You can also contact the police department in the town where he lives and see if they would help you get your gun. They may be nice enough to talk to him and pressure him into giving the gun to them.
The faster you start the better off you will be. I think he has had enough time for getting his gun to you. I doubt if he has any UPS information to give you.
Your police department should be able to teletype the WV department or local sheriff's office and start the proceedings in one day.
Good luck.

Yeah thanks, I'm going to call the police soon. (I have a friend whose dad is a detective.) I'm probably going to call him first, though he'll probably hear my voice and hang up. Should I call his police department first or the West Virginia one first?

I would give your local police dept a call first.

UPDATE: I have recently learned from the scammer himself that he actually lives in Kentucky and the West Virginia guy is a friend/middle man. The scammer has been confronted and says he will return both mine and pbnationer's gun, but I doubt he does. Just a heads up for anyone in Kentucky.

UPDATE: He stiffed me again about sending the gun back and now he blocked me from aim contact. I'm assuming the West Virginia address is real, so ignore the stuff about Knetucky.

That might be him. That looks like the same gun and he also makes the "1 of 2" claim. Only thing that doesn't match is that he claims to be in North Carolina. I'mn almost positive that's him.
EDIT: Also, he says the gun he has is a NYX Matrix. The other person he scammed sent him a NYX Trix (I think)

Give Lopez17 here a PM. Since he's a super mod he might be able to check the ISP and see if it's a match for the area the guy is in. It may not be much but it's something as I know Lopez will rip off a scammers head with his bare hands if he ever had a chance.

Well I've done everything short of filing a report with the police which will happen very soon. Lopez has found an alternate address for me that may be the real on. Apparently both address are very close. I'm sure the middle man knows the scammer's address, so when I get my report filed I will point them in that drection.
And yes, it does suck.

Well all of a sudden the scammer decides to give the guns back and there's proof he might actually do it this time. I have a police report filed (or rather, will be filed when my dad gets home) so maybe that will be the push he needs. Will update when case developes further.

Even if he returns your marker, first make sure they're yours obviously and not somebody elses stolen merchandise. And second, don't back down with seeking legal action. Go as far as you can with it.
Ask for advice from your PD and see if you can continue to press charges for something. He is obviously scared and if he returns the markers you -have- to finish bringing down the hammer on him.
I really hope this works out for you in the end.

I hope this really brings attention to the idea of using a third party trading service that is BONDED.
I don't mean to rip your post, or take it off topic. I hope you get your stuff back and the other person gets his karma that is coming. When it comes to YOUR stuff, can't be too careful.

Well this story has a happy ending. Today a Pbnationer (black_bishop) went over and retrieved both guns from the scammer who handed them over. I'm awaiting his confirmation, but it sounds like my gun will be back in my hands very soon. Thanks for all the help and support from everyone here.

Sounds like Black_Bishop was ready to start cracking skulls. Congrats.
Did Bishop give you this guy/kids info so you can press charges? I would if I could. I want to know the whole story when you get everything back.
It seems the PBN guys did alot of the foot work too.

I live about 10 minutes from Belpre. I know most of the people that play in this area also. PM his name and address. More then likely I know him, where he plays and his friends and parents.
NOT A GURANTEE I can get it back for ya, but will see what I can do.

The Belpre address that I have is unconfirmed as his. I have 2 confirmed ones of his that I have told the cops about. I'm going to let the cops handle it from now on, though they are aggravatingly slow, it's been like 3 weeks and they haven't even contacted the guy, they keep making me fill out forms and stuff. Hopefully they will do something soon. Thanks anyway.
ShockerGEEk
03-04-2006, 11:13 AM
More then likely they probably wont do anything. This area here is a moderatly poor area, thus the towns, cities, villages dont have the money to invest in long drawn out investigations. Although Belpre does have alot of cops, their main source of income is through traffic tickets. Just a FYI for ya. Hopefully they will get your gun back.

I hope You get your gun back and they catch that guy. The police are very slow, but thats becuase there are always reports backed up that have to be dealt with. A family member of mine had their checks stolen and several hot checks written. They filed a police report 4-5 months ago, the police still have'nt gotten around to it, even thought they have the guys address.
I really hope you get your gun back. Good luck. It's a shame there are people that do that kind of crap.

I know this thread is pretty old, but I just wanted to say if you get scammed, DON'T GO TO THE POLICE! After almost 2 months of leading us into and out of hoops, they finally decide they dont want to deal with the problem and gave us some B.S. thing about why they can't help us because we are complaining about an individual and not a company. Why the hell should that matter? A crime was commited and the police don't care. So, I guess all hope ends here. Thanks for the support everyone.

now now you have to understand its not like the cops get paid to prevent crimes from happening....oh wait they do don't they? well i guess they just get too tired to help people between all the donut eating and coffee drinking i mean that can really wear you out.

:pissed: :pissed: I read this old post and thought I would tell you the police are not giving you the whole picture. They can do a theft report on this person even if he lives out of state. I really doubt if the local attorney would want to spend the money to bring this guy to CA but they could contact the police in this home town and give them your police report and the local police could follow up on it. I was under that imression also, however I knew they wouldn't want to shell for that so I specifically TOLD them I wasn't going to press charges if I got my gear back. call the police and tell them that they refused to help, if that dude doesn't want to do anything either, then ask to talk to the head officer, or i think they call them general officer.
tell them how much the gun is worth, so they wont think its some dumb $20 paintball toy. if they all refuse to help, keep calling them and talking to different people, dont let that ***** get away with your gun so easily.
also, what shipping method did you use? if you used USPS, you can file a scam report with them. USPS has a fraud team too
