I play mostly at Wild Adventure Paintball (http://www.wildadventurepaintball.com) , also lovingly known as WAP. It's up near Woodland, about an hour drive from here. It's an awesome place, the staff is cool and the fields rock. I'm gonna be up there this Saturday March 2nd if you think you can make it.

Holdin it down for L.A., well sorta, I actually live right outside of L.A. in a small(over 100,000 population, but mostly suburbs and small compared to the City we live just outside of) town called Santa Clarita. 3 paintball fields (close encounters, better known as paintball U.S.A., Fields of Fury,and Feilds of fire) are like 5 minutes away. One is a huge , I mean HUGE woodsball area with a city in the back(they are on the same field and one is a fairly small but totally rockin city field with underground tunnels and even underground bunkers. One is a speedball field. Then like 10 or 15 minutes away is California paintball park that is a combination of 7 fields with one price. And there is an indoor field 1/2 an hour to an hour away. BTW where is Wap and how far is it from L.A.?

Hey, Im going down south for a week, and I havent played at SC for awhile. Anyone gonna be there the last weekend of May (not this one but the next)? Im also looking to check out X-Park and maybe impact zone in Pamona. Anyone been to these two? Im looking for feedback before I waste money. I dont like White Paint Only, which they both are, but I might be willing to live with it if the fields are tight enough.

well to the guy from cerritos..... WOOT! i was born and raised in cerritos.... still live pretty close by...my parents are still there.

ok to the guy wondering about Xpark and Impact zone... here goes...

both are indoor but the similarities stop there. Impact Zone has 3 indoor fields.. sounds nice but in reality this means that the fields are VERY SMALL! Impact zone also uses fake turf. This turf is very hard and very slippery. WATCH YOU'RE ANKLES.

Xpark on the other hand is one large field. It is a sand/dirt pit which is really nice on the knees and ankles. the only drawback is that with one field you might get stuck waiting for games on busy days. I went on a sunday and pretty much was getting in back to back games. no waiting.

thats just a start.. I didn't want to bore you with the full rundown... ;)

I stopped by X-Park on the way down and I was kinda disappointed on their set-up. The one field thing sux, and also all they have is barrels and hay bails for bunkers. Thats cool and all, but I like variety. Im now deciding between Tombstone and SC Village. Anyone??

well again i don't take sides but this is what I know. Both are great fields. Nothing really bad about either except.... DON'T GO TO SC VILLAGE ON A 1/2 OFF DAY!!!!!!!!!! I went this last memorial day. OMG I've never seen so many people. Average game I played was about 75 on 75... ever see a wall of paint coming your way.... all the pretty colors... ok that said.. SC Village is Huge and has every type of field and game your looking for. The refs are tough and enforce the rules very well. This is where i learned to play and on normal days its very fun. Lots of helpful people around to help you learn a thing or two. I love the vietnam fields.... Great bush play. And of course their tournament fields are great. Tombstone is pretty much opposite of that. Tombstone is much smaller and much more relaxed when it comes to the rules. Don't get me wrong the refs are good but it just feels much more relaxed than SC. I think tombstone caters to the more advanced players. So the games are tough, which i really like. you get more of a personal feelin there. you kinda start to recognizing people after a while. Try their trench field its sweet but be careful with those corners....

oh yeah... june 1,2 its national bring a woman to paintball day and tombstone is particapating. Me and my wife play so anything to save a buck.;). we'll be there June 1st saturday i think...

Also, Ive talked to a few players from Orange County and thwy all said Tombstone is the bomb. A guy that wrks at Beach City PB in Newport said SC is played out now. like you said, and the refs suck. All I really remember is walking like 5 miles for every game.:sleep:

i went with my sister to help her move into ucsb and we stayed in ventura damn that was one of the worse places i have ever stayed or it was the fact that i had to share a bed with my lil bro. Both of us are close to 6 feet tall so that can be a problem. But it is nice and laid back. I stopped and checked out the beach (while my grandma locked her keys in the car with it still running). and there was about 5 people on the beach as far as I could see. In San diego try and find a beach that empty. iF you do i will pray for you health.
