Regulators regulate gas to a lower pressure.

O-rings form a tight seal to keep leaks from occuring. They can also be used to keep things aligned. They can also be used to make something move against something else more smoothly. Also, they can be used to let the sides of a space shuttle flex, but then the gas gets in there and deteriorates them, causing the whole thing to explode killing people and setting the space program back 15 years

You don't need to do anything to your marker to make it run on HP or nitro, just add a nitro tank.

And if you decide to use C02, a Palmer regulator for about $85 will keep the liquid C02 out of your gun just as good as an ex-chamber will.

Hm...PbAllWizz...I think someone needs to change his name.....

Anyway, the only upgrade you need to go to HPA is a HPA tank.
Here's easy steps.

1) Buy HPA tank
2) Remove thread protector (VERY IMPORTANT)
3) Cock marker
4) Screw tank into ASA.

Congradulations, you have just upgraded to HPA.

Next, as for regulators making a difference? Well they allow me to make my marker shoot anywhere from 0-450 FPS with a lot of precision. I'd say they make a difference.

As far as o-rings go? UT is right on. Not all o-rings are the same. Different sizes and materials, not to mention thicknesses are different. A bottle o-ring probably won't work on your striker. Oh, and as for your bolt? If you get a delrin you won't need o-rings for it.
