why not have a universal barrel thread? It would help players every where instead of getting a rozzor for your first gun then move up to a ceramic on your next then a kit why not just have one thread? My opinion money they make a lot more selling several to every player and all the big companies can make more money. What do you guys think?

I'd love to see it, but it's not going to happen.

So you agree then its for making the maximum profit per player.

Most higher end guns use cocker threads, and most lower ends use spyder threads.

I'm positive that's the reason behind it. SP is a prime example I think.

Not necessarily there are low end cocker threads. Angel threads for high ends. Tippman threads for low ends. And you should know impulse threads for high ends. DMs Egos bob longs and cockers do though I don't know about the rest of the high ends
Also how is sp an example?
to patent infringement voter explain.

another theory I have is if one day the paintball companys felt they were in trouble they would introduce a thread for all new markers so that people couldn't strategically avoid the new barrel for new markers

I said most use cocker threads and most use spyder threads, now there are other threads but you will see these the most.

That would take some work to thread one barrel to fit all guns. Some take o-rings and some do not and so forth. LAPCO in a sense does this with their adapters.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head with your statement! I doubt there will ever be a universal thread..... I wish I had a marker that took the cocker threads... I see mad sales on cocker thread barrels these days!!! Dye excel for $18..... why cant it be a spyder thread? oh well......
One question.... the Impulse... is that cocker thread?

No, its Impulse threaded. As is the Ion.

This is like asking the whole world to speak english. Seems easy enough, but actually getting it to happen is where the plan falls apart.

very true.
the same goes for barrels.
how would you decide?
most used barrel thread? Brand new type?
it would take years to do that and they would still have to contuinue making individual barrel threads for all those who dont change over(for various reasons) if it ever did happen. It may actually cost more than just the thread types we have now. it would just be easier to keep it the same as it is now.
and abt the quote: it probally wouldn't be english, just the most widley spoken language. But then again, how would you decide

Yeah, I don't think that this is gonna happen. As for the language thing, I guess the most popular language is Chinese, since there's like 1 billion people there. Oh, and good one NcicHit. It's funny cause it's true.

Actually we should use Latin as a universal language, if we ever got around to making one.
