The Big difference from a performace point of view are as follows:

LCD runs at a lower pressure
LCD better LPR/Valve
LCD longer bolt.

You can get an LPR kit to upgrade an LED's LPR/valve. But that's about it.

I also hear the LCD is eaiser to adjust the dwell and stuff depending on the weather to perform better ...
I have an LED and I am afraid to to duch the dwell and LPR incase i screw something up, am i justified in being afraid ... its not like i can touch a few buttons and fix everything like an lcd

You are correct. I did not think about that, but the Dwell and ROF are adjusted differently on an LED vs. and LCD.

The purpose of the LCD is to allow digital (and precise) setting of the Dwell and ROF, i.e. actual numbers.

With an LED, both are adjusted via a POT. With the POT it's not an exact science.

In the past I have adjusted the ROF and Dwell on my LED. When I got a tune up they were both OK according to the Angel tech at ZAP, so I guess I did it correctly. My take on things if it aint broke don't fix it.....if it is, hire someone that knows what they are doing to fix it!!

The lcds are beter.......but not by much. I got a LED , and it can preform the same as any LCD out there.

You can get the pressure on a LED as low as a lcd , but the best part is since its a shorter bolt ,you can have the bolt run at a lower pressure :)
